Ziv Biron is president and CEO of IDB Bank®, a New York-based private and commercial bank.

Ziv comes to IDB from its Tel Aviv-based parent, Discount Bank, where he served as chief financial officer and head of Planning Strategy and Finance Division. At Discount Bank, Ziv continued the development and implementation of the Bank’s long-term strategy, which focused on the key elements of growth, efficiency, transformation of traditional banking and innovation.

Earlier in his career, Ziv held several executive positions at Bank Hapoalim Israel, HSBC USA and HSBC Global, as well as The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Ziv holds an MBA (with honors) from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, as well as a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tel Aviv University.

Rob Samet
Partner at DHR Global

Rob brings over 20 years of experience working with high-growth, investor-led technology companies. He focuses on Board, Advisor, C-suite, and VP/GM-level search mandates from private equity and venture capital scale-ups to corporate clients, with a specialization in commercial and go-to-market roles including sales, marketing, business development and operations.

Rob’s clients count on him for his knowledge of search strategy, compensation structures, competitive market intelligence, and identifying the right hire. Additionally, he has extensive expertise supporting international-based companies hiring for US leadership needs.

Prior to joining DHR, Rob served as Partner at a global retained executive search firm working with VC and PE-backed tech businesses, from B2B Enterprise SaaS to DTC Internet, and B2B2C portfolio companies. Before that, Rob ran his own search firm for 15 years, focusing on senior-level go-to-market, revenue, and operational leadership roles. Rob began his search career with a leading retained firm on the west coast.

Rob obtained a bachelor’s degree in business from the City University of New York. He resides in the NYC area with his wife and daughters.

IDB Bank first began in 1949 as a single representative office in New York City for Tel Aviv-based Discount Bank. In 1961, the bank began operating as a full-service branch of its own. Today IDB Bank is an American multinational private bank, commercial bank and financial services company headquartered in New York City with locations in the United States, Latin America and Israel.

The event will include time for networking & refreshments, a one-hour roundtable with Ziv, and opportunity for Q&A discussion.
