Tech Dinner with CEO of Tinder
Elie Seidman is the CEO of Tinder. Prior to Tinder, he was the Chief Executive Officer of OkCupid. An entrepreneur for much of his career, Mr. Seidman was previously the co-founder and CEO of Oyster.com, an online travel business acquired by TripAdvisor in 2013. Mr. Seidman was also the co-founder and CEO of Epana, a telecom and money remittance business. Mr. Seidman began his career at Trilogy in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Seidman serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Cove Hill Partners, L.P., a private equity fund. He has previously served as a strategic advisor at both Lime Rock Partners and General Atlantic Partners.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ariel Charytan joined OkCupid in 2018 as Chief Executive Officer with more than two decades of experience developing and innovating consumer tech brands. Under his leadership, OkCupid has experienced a resurgence, earning recognition as the most inclusive dating app in the world, responsible for millions of happy couples across the globe.
Ariel has spent his career building and fostering media, online travel and telecom businesses. Before joining OkCupid, he served as Senior Vice President of Audible, an Amazon company. During his tenure, Audible experienced rapid expansion, reaching listeners in over 150 countries.
Prior to Audible, Ariel served as Vice President of Product and UX for Yodel, a leader in local digital marketing, which was acquired in 2015 by Web.com. Ariel Co-Founded and served as Chief Product Officer of Oyster.com, an online hotel review and price comparison site. The company was later acquired by TripAdvisor in 2013. In 2000, Ariel Co-Founded Epana, a telecom and money remittance business he grew to over 400 employees as Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, Epana grew to $250+ million in annual revenue.
Shaune Scutellaro, CPA, is a partner at CohnReznick with 13 years of diverse experience in public accounting. He is a member of the Firm’s Technology and Life Sciences Industry Practice and National Tax Practice. He has a background in corporate, partnership, and individual tax planning and compliance, including multi-state and international companies.
A licensed CPA in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Shaune has an abundance of experience working in the technology and life sciences industry. In addition to general accounting, Shaune’s experience in working with small start-up entrepreneurs includes setting up accounting methods, standards and procedures, state registration, and employment issues. Shaune has also worked closely with public entities and large public affiliated corporate groups, providing services that include corporate tax compliance, partnership tax compliance, sell-side due diligence for companies and shareholders, and ASC 740 work.
Seth Dale decided to not be a lawyer and tell his Jewish mother he was going to be a magician instead. Seth has built his own business and knows what it takes to level up. He has become one of New York’s most successful magicians doing 200+ events a year for companies such as Bulgari, Stoli Vodka, and Patek Phillipe.
Seth is a serial entrepreneur who is always looking for great ideas. His business credits include: co-founder of wine distribution company Craft Wine Inc (whose notable clients include Dine Brand’s Global: Applebees, Spuntinos, Chevys Mexican Grill.), Director of marketing/strategic partnerships for The Da Vinci Eye App - an augmented reality drawing app with 400K downloads, and partner/ director of Business Development at Zenith Era - a hybrid branding and PR agency bringing bold, unique ideas that cut through the noise to people and businesses who are ready to level up.
Seth graduated from Montclair State University in 2011 after transferring there because they had a magic club (for real).
A New York City native and established marketing executive with over 17 years of professional experience, Victoria is recognized by her colleagues, friends and relatives as a dedicated advocate of all things Israel. After earning her bachelors of science in marketing, Victoria went on to study marketing at University of Pennsylvania, and worked her way to a Vice President of Media at a leading marketing and communications agency.
Victoria has held executive director roles in technology, healthcare and financial firms and currently works for Development Corporation for Israel/Israel Bonds - a FINRA-member broker dealer that underwrites securities issued by the State of Israel in the United States.
Victoria enjoys domestic and international travel for both work and leisure, as well as dining in New York City, museums, concerts and events focused in the arts and culture.
Residing in Murray Hill and working in Midtown East, Victoria spends time between work, family and friends, and identifies with Jewish culture and traditions.
