Jason P. Hart is a Managing Director focused on U.S. real estate opportunities. He is based in New York.

Since joining Carlyle in 2005, Mr. Hart has been involved in U.S. real estate transactions, including the acquisition, financing, and development of condominium and rental units. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Hart was a Vice President of The Praedium Group, LLC in New York, where he was responsible for acquisitions in the southwestern United States.

Mr. Hart graduated cum laude from McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University with a BSBA in finance.

Brian is co-head of our Real Estate practice. He represents property owners, developers, funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other financial institutions in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions. He concentrates on the acquisition, disposition and development of office, retail, hotel and multifamily properties; joint ventures; commercial mortgage, mezzanine and construction financings; preferred equity investments; and debt restructurings.

Brian’s work is recognized by publications including Chambers USA and Law360.

He serves as a member of the boards of directors of Habitat for Humanity New York City and UJA-Federation of New York (UJA). Brian is also a member of UJA’s Real Estate Executive Committee, a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and an associate trustee of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

Join us for an intimate In-Person real estate roundtable with Jason Hart, Managing Director at The Carlyle Group. This session will be an opportunity to connect with a select, intimate group of young rising stars in the industry, as we convene on June 26th.

Mr. Jason Hart serves as Managing Director, Real Estate at The Carlyle Group. Since joining Carlyle in 2005, Mr. Hart has been involved with more than $4.0 billion of U.S. real estate transactions including the acquisition, financing, and development of more than 1,300 condominiums and 800 rental units, and the re-zoning of over 3.0 million square feet in Manhattan. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Hart was a Vice President of The Praedium Group, LLC in New York where he was responsible for acquisitions in the southwestern United States. Mr. Hart graduated cum laude from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University with a B.S.B.A. in finance.
