Chief Investment Officer at DFO Management

Alisa Mall is the Chief Investment Officer of the Dell Family Office (DFO Management) overseeing the investment strategy and process for both taxable and tax-exempt assets. Prior to joining MSD Capital in 2022, Alisa was a Managing Director, Corporate Strategy at Foresite Capital, a life sciences/biotechnology firm, where she was responsible for corporate development, long-term capital strategy, investor relations, human resources, ESG engagement, and other operational areas. For the nearly 12 years prior to Foresite, Alisa was a senior member of the investment team of Carnegie Corporation of New York where she focused on the management of Carnegie’s real estate and natural resources portfolios, as well as its absolute return and inflation-linked strategies.

Prior to the Carnegie Corporation, Alisa was a director in the Equity Capital Markets group at Tishman Speyer. She was also an attorney at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, where she specialized in general real estate and real estate finance. Alisa serves on the board of JBG Smith (NYSE: JBGS), where she chairs the Compensation Committee, and The Bronfman Fellowship. She is a member of the investment committees of UJA-Federation of New York and Jim Joseph Foundation and sits on the board of the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue and Fulbright Israel.

Co-Managing Partner at Newlight Partners

David Wassong is the Co-Head of Newlight Partners LP which commenced operations on October 1, 2018 when it spun out from Soros Fund Management, LLC. Prior to the spin-out, David was a Co-Head of the Strategic Investments Group at SFM since 2005 and was responsible for overseeing SIG’s investments in private equity, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, venture capital, and private equity and venture capital funds. He and his team currently manage a global portfolio of direct private equity investments.
Prior to joining SFM, David was Vice President at Lauder Gaspar Ventures, LLC. David started his career in finance as an analyst and then an associate in the investment banking group of Schroder Wertheim & Co., Inc.

David received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
