Christophe Thomas is the Portfolio Manager for the 1798 Event Convexity Fund. He joined LOIM in October 2016. Before joining LOIM, Christophe was a Portfolio Manager and founding Partner at Birch Grove Capital from 2012. Prior to that, he was Head of the Capital Structure business and a Portfolio Manager focused on special situations at Luxor Capital Group. Before that, he was a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager of the US convertible/capital structure portfolio at Marathon Asset Management. With almost 20 years of experience, Christophe started his career in trading at Barclays Capital in London, CDC Ixis and AM Investment Partners.
Christophe earned a Master’s Degree in Finance from INSEEC Bordeaux Business School prior to being a Captain in a Special Warfare Group of the French Army.

Mr. Thomas has extensive experience in asset management. In his current role, he is portfolio manager for the 1798 Event Convexity Fund, which launched earlier this year. Prior to joining LOIM in 2016, he was the Head of Capital Structure business and portfolio manager focused on special situations at Luxor Capital Group until 2012, when he became Founding Partner and portfolio manager for Birch Grove Capital.
