Gabe Plotkin currently serves as the CIO of Melvin Capital, a multi-billion dollar long/short investment fund that he founded in 2014. Prior to Melvin Capital, Gabe was a portfolio manager at Sigma Capital, a division of SAC Capital Advisors. There, he oversaw a $1.8 billion portfolio in consumer-facing industries, including retail, internet, restaurants, gaming/lodging, and consumer products. Previously, he was a managing director at North Sound Capital, a strategy analyst at Citadel, and a private equity analyst at Henry Crown. Gabe graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University with a BA in Economics.
Mr. Woodruff is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of CCM. At CCM, Mr. Woodruff is responsible
for all investment decisions of the CIO portfolio and managing the three portfolio managers. In addition,
Mr. Woodruff designed CCM’s investment and research process and is the primary risk manager for the
firm's aggregate investments.
Mr. Woodruff has over 15 years of capital markets experience, all of which have been spent in buy-side
roles. From 2010 until January 2019, Mr. Woodruff was a portfolio manager at Surveyor Capital where he managed a team that grew to 18 investment professionals. Mr. Woodruff and his team covered and invested in over 400 stocks globally across consumer discretionary, consumer staples, technology, business services and industrials. Mr. Woodruff was made a Partner at Citadel in 2013.
Prior to Citadel, Mr. Woodruff was a senior analyst to Gabriel Plotkin at Sigma Capital, a division of SAC
Capital Advisors from December 2006 to February 2010. Before joining Sigma Capital, Mr. Woodruff
worked as a consumer analyst at Northsound Capital from April 2006 to November 2006, also with Mr.
Plotkin. Prior to joining Northsound Capital, Mr. Woodruff worked at Trivium Capital from 2004 to
2006. Mr. Woodruff started his career at Ernst and Young where he worked in a variety of roles for 6 years.
Mr. Woodruff maintains an inactive license as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
Mr. Woodruff earned an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Accounting
from the University of Southern California.
Edouard Matitia-Cohen is a Managing Director and Global Head of Equity Financing Distribution at Bank of America, based in New York.
In his role, he is responsible for all sales globally across Prime Brokerage and Equity Synthetics and Stock Loan, ensuring the delivery of an integrated coverage and distribution strategy worldwide. He joined the firm in 2012 and was previously Americas Head of Equity Sales.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Matitia-Cohen was the European Head of Equity Derivatives, Convertibles and Delta One sales at Credit Suisse, based in London. He was a member of Credit Suisse’s European Equity Management Committee and Global Equity Management Committee.
Previously, Matitia-Cohen worked at Morgan Stanley for over 11 years and held various roles including the Head of U.S. Capital Structure and Special Situations business in New York, and a member of the Equity Derivatives trading team in London.
He holds a B.A. (Hons.) in economics from ICADE University in Madrid and Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Reims, France.
Matitia-Cohen is a term corporate member of the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) and a board member of the Managed Fund Association (MFA).
