Hudson Yards: The Design, Construction and Development
Andre Kikoski, AIA is the principal of Andre Kikoski Architect -- an internationally renowned firm recognized for iconic cultural, hospitality and residential projects. Grounded by enduring architectural principles and driven by innovation, the firm designs distinctive, award-winning urban design, architecture, interiors and products for clients including The Guggenheim Museum, The Related Companies, DHA Capital, The Kohler Companies, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Swarovski Crystal, among others. Andre Kikoski Architect’s fastidious approach produces design that integrates art and architecture, embraces craftsmanship and material innovation, celebrates a sense of place, and unifies people by activating their senses to create emotional connection points and build community. A recipient of the American Institute of Architect’s Institute Honor Award, Cooper Hewitt National Design Award nominations in Architecture and Interior Design, Andre Kikoski Architect has garnered 44 international design awards and is widely published. A frequent lecturer in Asia, Europe and North and South America, Andre received his Master’s degree in Architecture at Harvard University, where he earned Distinctions for Innovation in Design and Technology. Andre is a Trustee of the Van Alen Institute and Alumni Council Emeritus at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Prior to founding the firm, Andre trained in the offices of I. M. Pei, Richard Meier, and Peter Eisenman.
Dean Shapiro is Head of Development, US Region at Oxford Properties. Dean is fortunate to have worked on some of the most significant, transformative developments in US history. At Oxford Properties, Dean is primarily responsible for Oxford’s investment in the $25 Billion Hudson Yards development project and the re-development of St. John’s Terminal. Dean previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Partner at Building and Land Technology in Stamford, CT where he worked on the 90 acre Harbor Point development, which transformed South Stamford into a vibrant mixed-use destination. Shapiro was formerly Executive Managing Director of CBRE where he managed the operations of the New York City business, and held various positions at Insignia/ESG. Shapiro received his MBA from Cornell University/London Business School and his BA from Vanderbilt University.
Mr. Pomerantz has 40 years of experience in the design of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. He has applied his expertise to a variety of project types, both domestically and internationally, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, academia, cultural, laboratory, and entertainment venues. Mr. Pomerantz provides leadership and expert guidance in sustainable engineering, including under-floor air delivery, radiant heating and cooling, and photovoltaic systems. Mr. Pomerantz has abounding knowledge in the planning and design of mechanical systems as it relates to super-tall, mixed-used developments. Some of his signature projects include the iconic Petronas Towers, which were the tallest buildings in the world until 2004, 432 Park Avenue, which is the tallest residential tower in the West Hemisphere, and the new Hudson Yards Redevelopment, which includes 18,000,000 sf of mixed use space across multiple buildings.
In addition to his impressive portfolio, Mr. Pomerantz works with the New York Department of Buildings as a member of the mechanical code committee and was integral in updating the NYC Building code. In 2018 and 2019, Mr. Pomerantz served as one of the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s (CTBUH) judges for the MEP Engineering awards submitted to the CTBUH for consideration. Mr. Pomerantz is extremely knowledgeable of the requirements of each individual establishment, and has a profound understanding of the high standards demanded by today’s residents. As a result, he strives to create environments that improve quality of life for individuals, communities, and cities.
Jeffrey Callow has more than 12 years of experience in structural analysis, design, 3D modeling and project management. His portfolio includes high-rise commercial buildings, sports facilities and cultural facilities. Jeff has extensive experience in the firm’s Advanced Project Delivery methods, working with the Construction Engineering practice to deliver Tekla mill order and detailing models directly to the steel fabricator.
Sharing his Expertise
Jeff is an active member of the Lean Construction Institute’s New York Community of Practice, which promotes efficiency in the design and construction process in an effort to minimize waste and maximize performance. He is also often speaks at area universities and professional organizations about the evolving role 3D modeling technologies play in integrating design and construction.
Outside of Work
Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Jeff currently lives on Long Island with his wife and twin boys. His strong connection to the New York area includes being a proud and loyal Mets and Giants fan. He enjoys running in road races and has completed two New York City marathons.

Dana is a Project Manager at Enovate, and has over 13 years’ multi-national experience as an engineer in project and design management on projects ranging from infrastructure projects through civil and marine projects. Prior to Enovate Dana worked for a large privately held International infrastructure development and construction firm where she worked primarily on the $2.3B Anaklia Deep Sea Port project in the Republic of Georgia. In her native Israel Dana served as a Major in the Israeli Defense Force taking the role of a project manager in the Engineering and Construction Department.
Dana holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. She is the recipient of the Engineering News-Record (ENR) New York 2019 Top 20 under 40 and Women Builder’s Council (WBC), 2019 Next Generation of Women Builders award.
