This roundtable is intended for YJP's Young Leadership members (10+ years work experience).

Join us for an intimate In-Person real estate roundtable with Dan Neidich. This roundtable is for Young Leadership members of YJP. This session will be an opportunity to connect with a select, intimate group of young rising stars in the industry, as we convene on May 6th.

Daniel Neidich is the Chief Executive Officer of Dune Real Estate Partners LP (“Dune”), a New York City based real estate investment firm broadly focused on opportunities stemming from capital dislocation in the real estate market. At Dune, Mr. Neidich leads a senior team of professionals in executing its strategy, which generally focuses on debt and equity in deep value-add, contrarian and distressed investments. Dune manages the Dune Real Estate Funds which were launched by Mr. Neidich in 2005 and have raised $4.2 billion of equity capital and control $4.6 billion of assets.

Dune Real Estate Partners is a New York City-based real estate investment firm executing an investment strategy that focuses on distressed, deep value-add and contrarian investing balanced by region, sector, and risk profile. Dune manages the Dune Real Estate Funds, which were launched by Mr. Daniel M. Neidich in 2005 and have raised approximately $4 billion of equity capital to date. Dune invests on behalf of pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and other large institutions and individuals.

Daniel Neidich is the Chief Executive Officer of Dune Real Estate Partners LP (“Dune”), a New York City based real estate investment firm broadly focused on opportunities stemming from capital dislocation in the real estate market. At Dune, Mr. Neidich leads a senior team of professionals in executing its strategy, which generally focuses on debt and equity in deep value-add, contrarian and distressed investments. Dune manages the Dune Real Estate Funds which were launched by Mr. Neidich in 2005 and have raised $4.2 billion of equity capital and control $4.6 billion of assets.

Prior to founding Dune in 2004, Mr. Neidich was at Goldman Sachs where he was a member of the firm’s Management Committee, Vice Chairman’s Council, co-head of the Merchant Banking Division and Chairman of the Whitehall Investment Committee. In 1984, Mr. Neidich became a partner of Goldman Sachs and in 1990 he became head of Goldman Sachs’ Real Estate Department. In 1992, Mr. Neidich formed the Real Estate Principal Investment Area, in 1998 he became co-head of the Merchant Banking Division, in 1999 he joined the firm’s Management Committee and in 2000 he joined the firm’s Vice Chairman’s Council.

In 1991, under Mr. Neidich’s direction, Goldman Sachs raised the first Whitehall fund to invest in real estate opportunities. Under his leadership, the Whitehall Funds raised over $12 billion of total equity and purchased over $50 billion of real estate interests worldwide.

Brian is co-head of our Real Estate practice. He represents property owners, developers, funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other financial institutions in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions. He concentrates on the acquisition, disposition and development of office, retail, hotel and multifamily properties; joint ventures; commercial mortgage, mezzanine and construction financings; preferred equity investments; and debt restructurings.

Brian’s work is recognized by publications including Chambers USA and Law360.

He serves as a member of the boards of directors of Habitat for Humanity New York City and UJA-Federation of New York (UJA). Brian is also a member of UJA’s Real Estate Executive Committee, a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and an associate trustee of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
