YJP is excited to host Ari Glass, Founder & Managing Member of Boothbay Fund Management in part of our Mentorship with Finance Leaders series. Ari founded Boothbay, the New York-based hedge fund manager, in 2012. The firm is dedicated to delivering consistent, uncorrelated absolute returns in all market environments. It combines proprietary portfolio construction and risk management technology to target traditional and non-traditional sources of alpha by dynamically allocating capital across strategies with idiosyncratic sources of return. Its investment strategies focus on all major asset classes globally. Within a broad range of investment strategies, the firm deploys its capital over $8.5BN of capital invested across approximately 115 managers to generate high risk-adjusted returns.
This will be a roundtable, with around 25 young professionals, featuring insights from Ari, and an opportunity for Q&A.

Ari Glass is the Founding Partner and Managing Member of Boothbay Fund Management, a $1.7B multi manager multi strategy Hedge Fund platform. As Head of the Investment Committee, Mr. Glass oversees all investment decisions including strategy allocation. As Managing Member, Mr. Glass also runs the overall business.
Previously, Mr. Glass served as President of Paine Heights Management LLC. At Paine Heights, Mr. Glass managed a special opportunity hedge fund that invested in the SPACs and advised on a Solar Energy transaction. From 2007 through 2009, Mr. Glass was the President of Platinum Management (NY) LLC.
From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Glass served as the Chief Operating Officer of “Tiger Cub” Intrepid Capital Management (“Intrepid”), a $2.5 billion hedge fund organization seeded by Soros Fund Management. At Intrepid, Mr. Glass oversaw all business-related activities. In 2004, Mr. Glass launched Intrepid Associates, an affiliated entity that added fund managers to Intrepid’s platform, including funds focused in the healthcare and utilities sectors. From April 1998 until August 2000, Mr. Glass worked as Chief Financial Officer at Vector Capital Management (“Vector”), a statistical arbitrage hedge fund in Norwalk, CT. From 1995-1998 Mr. Glass worked in Business Assurance at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP and was an associate at Prudential Securities from 1994-1995. Mr. Glass graduated in 1993 from Queens College, with honors, with a B.A. in Accounting and Information Systems.
Aaron Weitman is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of CastleKnight Management LP, an event driven and special situations hedge fund that invests across capital structures of all sizes. Prior to founding CastleKnight, Mr. Weitman spent over 15 years at Appaloosa LP, rising to the title of Senior Partner. As a Senior Partner, Mr. Weitman consistently invested over $1B of assets in the portfolio across equity and credit. Mr. Weitman has invested across all sectors, with a focus on several of them for over a decade, including: industrials, housing, chemicals and consumer products.
Mr. Weitman holds a B.S. with University Honors in Business Administration (Finance concentration) and a minor in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a member of multiple charity and foundation investment committees, including Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Metrowest NJ (one of the largest in New Jersey) and Boystown Jerusalem Foundation of America. Mr. Weitman also participates in significant outside charitable and Pro-Israel endeavors.
