Institutional Investor Dinner
Alex Doñé currently serves as the Deputy Comptroller for Asset Management-Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he serves as investment advisor to the New York City Retirement Systems. With $197 billion in assets, it is the fourth-largest public pension fund in the United States providing retirement benefits to over 700,000 members, retirees and their beneficiaries.
Prior to joining the Comptroller’s Office, Mr. Doñé served for two years as Presidential Appointee to the Barack Obama Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce - Minority Business Development Agency.
Previously, Mr. Doñé served as a consultant and member of the investment team at Clearlake Capital Group, a privately held private equity investment firm. Before that, Mr. Doñé was head of retail industry investment banking at KPMG Corporate Finance. He began his over 20 year career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch & Co. where he led or participated in the execution of financial and strategic advisory transactions representing more than $25 billion in transaction value.
Mr. Doñé holds a B.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
Brad heads up FTV Capital’s New York office and leads investments in enterprise technology & services and financial services. Brad has over 25 years of private equity experience. Prior to FTV Capital, Brad was a partner at Oak Hill Capital Management and its predecessors where he managed the business and financial services group. He began his private equity career with Patricof & Company Ventures and started his professional career in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch in New York. Brad received a BA magna cum laude from Tufts University.
Mr. Lee formed Lee Equity and joined as President in 2006. In addition to firm and portfolio management, his responsibilities include investment thesis generation and sourcing, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy. Mr. Lee is also President of Thomas H. Lee Capital LLC, a private investment vehicle. Additionally, Mr. Lee is the Chairman of the Board of AGL Credit Management LP, a new credit platform created by Mr. Lee and Peter Gleysteen with ADIA and Texas ERS backing. Prior to Lee Equity, Mr. Lee served as Chairman and CEO of Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THLP”) and its predecessors, which he founded in 1974. Over the past 41 years, Mr. Lee has been responsible for investing in excess of $10 billion of capital in more than 100 transactions. Prior to founding THLP, Mr. Lee was with the First National Bank of Boston, where he was a Vice President and led the high technology lending group. Previously, Mr. Lee was a securities analyst in the institutional research department of L.F. Rothschild & Company in New York.
Mr. Lee serves or has served as a director of numerous public and private companies, including Aimbridge Hospitality, LLC, General Nutrition Companies, Inc., KMAC Enterprises, Inc., Mid Cap Financial, LLC, Metris Companies, Inc., Papa Murphy’s International, Inc., Playtex Products, Inc., Snapple Beverage Corp., The Edelman Financial Group, Inc., Vail Resorts, Inc., Vertis Holdings, Inc., Warner Music Group Corp., and Wyndham International, Inc., among others. In addition, Mr. Lee is currently a Trustee of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Museum of Modern Art, Langone NYU Medical Center, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, among other civic and charitable organizations. He also serves on the Executive Committee for Harvard University's Committee on University Resources. Mr. Lee received an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College.
Ally Mikhaylova is a 3rd year Analyst at Goldman Sachs, focused on Single Stock Volatility Trading. She graduated from Baruch College in 2016 with a major in Statistics and Quantitative Modeling and minors in Math, Hebrew, and Interdisciplinary Studies of New York City. Outside of work, she is a member of Dreamers // Doers, a high-impact community for trailblazing women. In her free time, Ally enjoys hiking, skiing, and surfing.
Tomer Gat is the Associate Director of Deal Structuring, Management, and Execution at Finacity Corporation, a Greensill Capital company, specializing in trade receivable securitization. Tomer has structured and arranged $4 billion in trade receivable securitizations globally, covering over 30 seller jurisdictions, 150 debtor jurisdictions and 40 currencies. Tomer graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bentley University with a degree in Economics-Finance and Global Perspectives.
