Joey has long been passionate about making things from renewable resources, which led him to start Allbirds and begin tackling sustainability issues in the footwear industry. Prior to co- founding Allbirds, he spent six years at biotech firm Terravia (formerly Solazyme, Inc.) leading its renewable chemical business, developing and selling high performance algae-based chemicals into various industries such as CPG, personal care, and industrials. Previously, Joey worked in advisory and investment roles at Industry Ventures, Deloitte Consulting and Goldman Sachs. He sits on the Board of education nonprofit Stiles Hall, as well as the Advisory Board of Wharton & Baker Retail Center. He earned an MBA from Wharton with honors, and a BS in industrial engineering from UC Berkeley.
Aliza Licht is a fashion industry veteran and the author of the best-selling book, LEAVE YOUR MARK. In November 2016, Licht joined alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet as their evp of brand marketing & communications, a new position for the company. Licht was formerly the long-time svp of global communications for Donna Karan International (1998-2016), responsible for overseeing the worldwide strategy and creating DKNY PR GIRL, the award-winning social personality that she was formerly the voice of. Licht has been featured on the cover of The New York Times Style section in the article “Who Will Be America’s Next Top Mentor?” She is an inaugural TEDx Times Square speaker, a five-time Fashion 2.0 award winner for Best Twitter and Fashion Blog. She was named one of Time's "S'x Women Who Rule the Fashion World” and The New York Daily News listed Licht as #30 in the “Top 50 Most Powerful Women in New York.”
With over 25 years in marketing, Alysia’s expertise centers on the understanding of shopper behavior in varying occasions and need states. With that comes a level of retailer and brand intimacy that allows Alysia to work with brands to customize their communication and programs to meet shoppers needs with the right message, at the right time, using the right vehicles.
Alysia has spent her career on both the agency and client side of marketing, with the last 18 years focused on Shopper Marketing, including varying leadership roles at PepsiCo, Catapult Marketing, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and today, as the Director of Shopper Marketing for Yogurt at Danone North America.
Jennifer Braunschweiger is the Vice President, Brand Marketing for MM.LaFleur, a clothing and styling company for professional women. Her expertise is in digital storytelling and thought leadership about issues of interest to women in the workplace. Previously, she was Content Director at Meredith, where she ran a large-scale content program for a Fortune 100 client. In addition, she served as Executive Editor, Special Projects, for More magazine, where she managed partnerships, oversaw social media, and directed all fashion, finance and entrepreneurship coverage. She has presented at such events as the Pennsylvania Governor’s Conference, and appeared on the Today Show, MSNBC, CBS News and the CBS Early Show, among others. She usually pairs her MM with either bright colors or metallics—in an office-appropriate way, of course.
Martin Dolfi is the Founding Partner of M3 Ventures, a consumer venture capital firm targeting youth culture and healthy living sectors. The firm based in New York and was founded in 2015. Dolfi has over fifteen years of business development, financial advisory and investment management experience in the consumer brands and entertainment industries. With a unique hands-on approach, Dolfi helps founders achieve accelerated growth by providing strategic expertise and deep industry connectivity. Prior to establishing M3 Ventures, Dolfi was a Partner at Relativity Media where he oversaw endorsements, licensing and business development. Previously, Dolfi was an executive in Creative Artist Agency’s consumer brands division where he managed licensing for a variety of CAA clients. Dolfi began his career in investment banking at Ladenburg Thalmann and later became a member of three publicly traded private equity companies: Endeavor Acquisition Corp., Victory Acquisition Corp. and Triplecrown Acquisition Corp., collectively managing over $1.0 billion in institutional capital. Dolfi holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
Naama Bloom, Vice President of Brand Marketing at zulily, is a seasoned marketing executive with 15+ years building high-performing teams, with a passion for consumer brand marketing. She has a significant track record driving brand strategy, integrated content marketing and has worked on building both start up brands e.g. HelloFlo.com, which has run on zulily and has developed viral videos that have achieved record numbers, as well as big brand expertise developing brand strategy, and customer and loyalty growth for American Express. Most recently she has led marketing for SheKnows Media focused on brand and integrated marketing.
Alana Rush is Executive Director of Business Development at BounceX, the fastest growing software company in America. At BounceX, Alana's team spearheads partnerships with top tier clients like Hugo Boss, Forever 21, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Nieman Marcus and Kate Spade.
Alana began her career as a Faculty member at Phillips Academy Andover, a New England boarding school. Her career in education continued as a consultant with the Parthenon Group's Emerging Markets Education Practice, where she was based in Asia and the Middle East for four years.
After moving back to the US, Alana was a private equity investor for Sterling Partners Education Opportunity Fund and also spent time at Goldman Sachs.
Alana was President of her class at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she received her MBA. She holds a BS cum laude from the University of Florida Honors College.
Ashlee attended the prestigious Georgia State University journalism school where she spent years writing for the associated press and honing her on-camera skills. She went onto to be a television news anchor and personality on networks such as The Style Network, CNN’s “Headline News,” Headline News After Dark, NBC’s “Atlanta & Company just to name a few.
Ashlee was quickly deemed amongst networks as the “go to beauty expert” and began producing her own beauty segments for shows that included “The Chat”, “Good Morning Texas”, “Good Morning Phoenix”, “Great Day Houston” and “The Now” on Fox. During that time she created Boss Babe Body, an all organic scrub that is now sold in over 16 countries and has been profitable since her first “launch Tweet” to fans across the globe in 2014. Ashlee created the product in her bathroom after much research, designed the packaging, marketing and sales strategy to build a team that ultimately metamorphosed women’s bodies post baby. Ashlee and her infamous “Boss Babe Body Scrub” were featured in the July 2015 Summer Vogue’s “Must Have Summer Beauty Products” page making her scrub a household name.
Next on this woman’s agenda: Ashlee fostered and lead a women’s menstruation movement that paved the way for millions of women to have a voice! She created the first “tax free tampon” which revolutionized the most taboo topic amongst women and society- for that matter. Representing the majority; she was a keynote speaker at Politicon 2016 alongside the most prominent names in news and politics such as Anne Coulter, S.E. Cupp, Bill Nye, Barbara Boxer and Wendy Davis to name a small few. She ultimately held her own, standing up as the voice for women rights; not only nationally but globally. Ashlee continues to speak all over the nation especially in Washington D.C. using her platform and voice for women!
After 27 years in the television and print industry; Ashlee has joined forces with creative mastermind, Chris Clarke, writing and art directing television commercials. Ashlee’s ultimate dream is to create content that expands the mind so we all take a moment to see “life” through the lens a bit differently than before working towards the congruent evolution of brands and people “together” working for a better world.

In 2009, Nitro merged with Sapient, creating SapientNitro, which became the largest independent advertising and digital agency in the world. When Chris left SapientNitro it had 9,500 employees, 35 offices around the world and a market capitalization in excess of $2 billion. In December 2014, SapientNitro was sold to Publicis Groupe for $3.7 Billion.
In 1993, Chris founded Pure Creative. It quickly expanded into seven offices, from Melbourne to Beijing, and became one of the hottest creative agencies in the world. Clients included Mars Inc., Procter and Gamble, Coca-Cola, and the Australian Tourist Commission. Pure Creative was sold to Leo Burnett in 2000.
Chris is also passionate about philanthropy and is on the board of Children of Fallen Patriots, Covenant House, and MindUp.
Jodie Cohen has been marketing books and audiobooks to readers, parents, and educators for more than 18 years. She has extensive expertise in planning and implementing innovative multi-channel marketing campaigns that build brand awareness and increase revenue. Jodie loves coming up with creative ideas that connect with new audiences and she often builds beneficial partnerships. Jodie is a detail-oriented project manager and event planner who delivers dynamic results and successful events under budget. Currently, Jodie is the Director of Marketing at Algonquin Young Readers.
Seth Dale decided to not be a lawyer and tell his Jewish mother he was going to be a magician instead. Seth has built his own business and knows what it takes to level up. He has become one of New York’s most successful magicians doing 200+ events a year for companies such as Bulgari, Stoli Vodka, and Patek Phillipe.
Seth is a serial entrepreneur who is always looking for great ideas. His business credits include: co-founder of wine distribution company Craft Wine Inc (whose notable clients include Dine Brand’s Global: Applebees, Spuntinos, Chevys Mexican Grill.), Director of marketing/strategic partnerships for The Da Vinci Eye App - an augmented reality drawing app with 400K downloads, and partner/ director of Business Development at Zenith Era - a hybrid branding and PR agency bringing bold, unique ideas that cut through the noise to people and businesses who are ready to level up.
Seth graduated from Montclair State University in 2011 after transferring there because they had a magic club (for real).
Zohar is the Co-Founder and CEO of Wibbitz, an automated video creation platform for professional storytellers that leverages patented AI technology to simplify the experience of video storytelling. His entrepreneurial drive lead him to launch several startups at a young age before founding Wibbitz in 2011. Zohar is a Forbes Tech Council contributor, was selected as one of Geektime’s “Top 5 Israeli Entrepreneurs,” and speaks regularly at conferences including ONA, INMA, and SXSW.
Amanda Curtis is the Co-Founder and CEO of Nineteenth Amendment, a platform sustainable, inventory-free retailing. Nineteenth Amendment allows brands a way to sell directly to consumers without holding inventory and produce on-demand through their manufacturing technology and network of US production facilities. A former fashion designer turned tech entrepreneur, Amanda, through Nineteenth Amendment's 'fashion-as-experience', has worked with over 780 fashion brands across 30 countries, and created partnerships with global companies like Disney, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Microsoft, and Dell. Amanda is Forbes' 30 Under 30 2016 for Retail & E-commerce, Apparel Magazine's 30 Under 30 2016, and the National Retail Federation's Person Changing Retail's Future 2018.
Ari Tolwin is the co-founder of The NuMilk Company, bringing fresh to non-dairy with innovative self-service almondmilk machines in grocery stores. Ari, formerly of McKinsey and Company, is a serial food and beverage entrepreneur and occasional early stage food and beverage investor.
Cheryl is the Founder + CEO of PieShell, a new crowdfunding platform exclusively for food- and beverage-focused companies. Cheryl took her 18 years of experience installing the ERP system SAP at fortune 500 companies and her lifetime of helping her family with their own food startups, to create PieShell. Cheryl spent summers helping her Mom run a pie business, with help from her Dad and brother they made close to 10,000 pies a year. You guessed it, her Mom's company was called The Pie Shell, and she is honored to carry on the name.
Karen is CEO and Co-founder of Trendalytics, a product intelligence platform that boosts a retailer's competitive edge.
Karen has over 15 years of experience in consumer brands, retail and technology. At Goode Partners, she executed the firm’s investment in SkullCandy (NASDAQ: SKUL) and worked on the turnaround of a luxury specialty retailer. Previously she worked in Gap Inc.’s Corporate Strategy group, where she assessed acquisition opportunities and new retail concept opportunities. Karen started her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs & Co. where she executed over $1 billion in technology and media transactions. Karen is a venture partner at Grace Beauty Capital.
Karen has spoken on commerce innovation at NRF, Shoptalk and Strata and has appeared on the Wall Street Journal, WWD, Forbes and the Sourcing Journal. Karen holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from UCLA. Her research at Harvard included studies in multi-channel retailing, luxury diffusion brands and supply chain innovation for emerging brands.

I am the Co-Founder and CMO of HICKIES, a company that reinvented shoelaces. We created the first shoelace replacement that can be worn on any shoe with eyelets and lets you move without interruptions. HICKIES never tie laces are sold in 45 countries, we have offices in Switzerland, New York and Buenos Aires, and Adidas is using our product instead of shoelaces in 10 of their sneaker models for kids. Before HICKIES I used to own and run my own boutique hotel in Buenos Aires, for the 4 years y had the hotel it was ranked number 1 on trip advisor.
Rachel Thau is the Director of Marketing at JOOR, the wholesale industry's leading digital marketplace and data exchange. JOOR connects 3,000+ brands and 175,000 retailers to conduct faster, easier and smarter wholesale business. Rachel is responsible for brand marketing, product marketing and sales marketing. Prior to JOOR, Rachel was a senior strategist at SapientRazorfish, where she advised clients including Samsung, Michael Kors, and Walmart on customer engagement, CRM and communications strategies. When she's not hard at work as a marketer, Rachel loves to cook, study interior design, and spend time with her husband and new puppy, Nelly.
Yinon is StartApp’s VP of Business Development, Data who is working with marketers, data science, apps, brands and agencies alike to build data solutions that grow their business. He's been with StartApp for 6 years and relocated with the company to their NYC HQ 3 years ago from Tel Aviv. Over the years he helped build StartApp's programmatic arm and their data licensing team globally. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and a co-chair at the IAB messaging group.

Adam Goldschmiedt, Director of Pixafy, has over 15 years’ experience in the web development and ecommerce space, working with hundreds of clients across dozens of verticals and industries, with brands ranging from startups to large, well-known national and international brands. Originally hired into a sales role at his previous agency, Adam quickly found his calling as a project manager and quickly progressed into a Senior Project Manager role, Director of Operations, and ultimately the COO, where he was directly responsible for managing the organizations Project Management team, developing/onboarding/implementation internal process and business tools, managing all internal resource utilization and allocation, and ensuring that all projects/work was being executed on time, within budget, and with a targeted focus on client success.
In his current role as Director of Pixafy, Adam manages the web and ecommerce agency for Net@Work, a large business technology services firm that has 14 business units that offer consulting services to clients across the full technology spectrum including IT/Infrastructure, various ERP, HRMS and CRM platforms, Credit Card Processing, and Document and Imaging solutions (to name a few). Adam is directly responsible for managing the Pixafy practice’s strategic initiatives on both the sales and delivery sides of the business, advancing collaborating with Net@Work’s other practices and directly managing all of Pixafy’s business operations, processes, and solution offerings, with an overarching goal of delivering best-in-class service and products to our clients, while at the same time scaling the organization as the business grows. Ivy Tashlik, Co-Founder of Studio 02, is a Creative Director specializing in brand development and creative strategy for digital and print integrated marketing campaigns, website redesign and photoshoots for luxury and fashion brands.

Jamie is an Account Executive on the Traditional Media Agency team at Google. She works with brands and their media agencies to help grow their presence on Google and YouTube, particularly brands who are making the shift from a traditional to a digital landscape. Prior to Google, Jamie worked in Account Management at FCB, was Marketing Director for a fast casual Asian restaurant, Brightwok Kitchen in Chicago, and worked in consumer trend forecasting at Mintel. She will also be attending NYU Stern part-time for her MBA beginning this fall.
Jessica is a social media and digital strategist who specializes in driving strategy for Fortune 500 companies and sports properties. Her expertise is in persuading traditional companies to expand their social media investment, often working with senior executives to make it a priority and a fixture within an integrated marketing strategy.
Jessica received her Masters in Sports Business from NYU and Bachelors from the University of Michigan. Driven by a belief in the power of sport, she pursued her Masters while working at Major League Baseball and the Heisman Trophy Trust. Prior to joining IBM, she worked at Ogilvy & Mather, where she was part of the Nationwide Insurance team working on the NFL partnership.
Rara is a Community and Economic Development Associate at Urbane Development, a community venture firm that creates innovative solutions to impact underserved communities throughout the United States. She joins Urbane from the Social Financial Services group at Ashoka, the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs, where she worked on projects involving the financing of alternative business ownership models such as worker cooperatives and employee stock ownership plans. Rara is also the Executive Editor of GroundBreakers, a global network and multimedia hub that is connecting the social entrepreneurship movement through story. She is a member of the U.K.-based action-research network Gender and Development Network and has conducted research at the Economic Policy Research Centre in Uganda. Rara is a Senior Author at The Market Mogul and her work has also been featured on the World Economic Forum blog, The Huffington Post, Ayiba Magazine, Venture Capital for Africa, and Next Billion.
