Elyse Burack is Head of Integrated Marketing and Brand at Boxed. In this role, Elyse oversees the creative, content and brand teams, connecting various initiatives across strategic growth pillars for the organization to ensure all marketing programs are supporting larger business goals within the company.
Prior to Boxed, Elyse was Senior Strategist at Interbrand leading initiatives for clients across sectors including AT&T, UPS, YP (formerly the Yellow Pages) and Pfizer. Elyse started her career in market research at CTPartners and then Coleman Research Group. She graduated with honors from Lehigh University with a BA in Political Science and Psychology.
JJ Kasper is the Founder of Blue Collective, a PE / VC investment firm located in Brooklyn, NY. Blue invests primarily in early-stage and early-revenue technology companies in the US and beyond. JJ also runs XO Advisory, a boutique advisory firm supporting big corporates to small startups on topics ranging from strategy to operations to innovation, and Black Napkin, an investment firm focused on hospitality in NYC. JJ's professional background prior to all this is eclectic, with time spent as an entrepreneur, a restructuring executive-for-hire, a Partner at McKinsey & Co, a lawyer and an academic (critical theory being his discipline of choice). He's an avid reader, an amateur rock 'n roll band-leader and a lover and supporter of BAM and the arts in Brooklyn.
Josh Machiz is the Chief Digital Officer of Nasdaq where he's responsible for managing partnerships, corporate marketing and all of the digital content created for the Nasdaq social media channels, as well as experiential marketing and social media activations at Nasdaq MarketSite. In this role, Josh is responsible for the IPO day social experiences and social advertising for new and established Nasdaq companies. Previously, Josh was the Chief Business Officer for Frucher LLC, a consulting firm performing duties for Nasdaq and the State of New York. He joined Nasdaq in 2013, and has 10+ years of marketing and consulting experience. Additionally, he serves as a board member of GMHC and is a recipient of the 2018 Marketing Edge Rising Star Award.
With over 10 years of experience in Digital Marketing Strategy, Luis is currently leading all topics Digital for the Wines and Champagne portfolio at Pernod Ricard USA with a focus on Data driven marketing, Consumer Relationship Management, E-commerce and the development of a strong internal digital culture. Having a pure digital agency background and having been previously responsible for digital acceleration across 7 markets in LATAM, Luis has had the opportunity to understand the nuances of digital as it applies to very different business and cultural contexts.
As Global Head of Marketing Innovation Martin is identifying and implementing best-in-class marketing engagement and client experience programs. He develops new strategic capabilities, elevates best practice frameworks and pilots new ways of client engagement. He is a strategic adviser on growth opportunities, innovation strategy and client experience.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon Martin held various digital strategy roles at Ogilvy & Mather, a global marketing services company. In these roles he has been helping Ogilvy’s clients navigate the challenges and opportunities that spring from digital transformation. He also led Ogilvy’s global mobile marketing practice where he was responsible for integrating mobile strategy programs into the business programs for Ogilvy’s clients. He has been responsible for the launch of the global DuPont digital platform and led the retail, digital and CRM account for British Airways in North America.
Martin started his career at argonauten G2 in Germany as project manager, consultant and ultimately as managing director of their Berlin office.
In his career he ran digital strategy and platform initiatives for companies like Coca-Cola, Merck, Nestle, Volkswagen, and Allianz.
His speaking engagements range from the Cannes Lions Festival, Mobile World Congress to Harvard Business School. He is a published author and winner of WPP’s Atticus Award. He has been honored to be a jury member for the Mobile category at the Cannes Lions Festival in 2013.
Scott is the founder of Red Sea Ventures. He combines 15 years of entrepreneurial experience including his time as co-founder of EPOK, an early cloud-based enterprise solution launched in 2001. He has experience as a corporate attorney at White & Case and digital media expertise developed at CBS Local where he focused on strategy and business development.
Scott is a member of the board of Seeds of Peace, a founding member of Young Leadership Committee (YLC) and served as chairman of the YLC board. Scott is the recipient of the Young Peace Maker Award for his outstanding leadership in and dedication to supporting the mission of Seeds of Peace and the YLC.
Scott grew up in Paris and attended Georgetown University and Fordham law school.
Yossi Hasson is a blockchain investor and the MD of Techstars first blockchain accelerator in New York City. He is also the co-founder of Africa’s largest crypto investment fund, Onchain Capital. He is a passionate entrepreneur and investor with over 15-years of experience starting, scaling, investing in and exiting technology-based businesses.
In 2004, Yossi Co-Founded SYNAQ, an open source cloud company. At the time, both open source and cloud were new technologies that businesses were yet to embrace. Over an 11 year period, Yossi lead and scaled SYNAQ to over 1 million users before a multi-million dollar exit in 2015. Based on his passion for technology, in 2015, Yossi co-founded WeThinkCode_ to help deliver on Africa’s digital talent potential and currently sits on the WeThinkCode_ board. WeThinkCode_ is a 2-year, completely free, coding college open and available to anybody who shows the aptitude, ability and desire to become a world class computer programmer.
In 2016 Yossi joined Techstars as the MD of the Cape Town FinTech Accelerator focusing on finding and funding Africa’s FinTech disruptors. Yossi holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science and has lectures on Entrepreneurship. He is also a member of Endeavor and Entrepreneurs Organisation.
Jason is a Principal at Primary Ventures and has been working in New York as a VC for the past four years. In college, Jason launched a direct-to-consumer footwear company that sold hand-sewn boat shoes and driving moccasins. He later went on to work at New York-based seed fund Corigin Ventures, where he invested in several companies including Latch, Loftsmart and Morty.
Most recently, Jason was the Chief of Staff to Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) Co-Founder Mark Gerson, where he managed all venture and LP investments for Gerson’s family office. His other responsibilities included corporate development, partnerships and strategy at Julius, a venture-backed influencer marketing software company.
Jason is passionate about working with founders that impact consumer behavior and daily living. He earned his BBA in entrepreneurship and marketing from the University of Miami.

Mitchell Reichgut is the CEO and Co-Founder of Jun Group. Prior to founding Jun Group in 2005, Mitchell led Bates Interactive, the online unit of Bates Worldwide Advertising, now owned by WPP. As General Manager/Creative Director, Mitchell helped grow Bates Interactive into a 70-person integrated unit, with clients such as EDS, Moet & Chandon, and Warner-Lambert. Before joining Bates, Mitchell served as Creative Director at Think New Ideas.
Mitchell began his career as an Art Director at Grey Advertising where he created print and television advertisements for clients. Throughout his career, he’s worked with major brands across industries, including Procter & Gamble, Parker Brothers, Budweiser, Rockport, Reebok, and Sony.
Stephen has spent the last 10 years building online advertising technology companies from start-up to success.
In his current start-up as Co-Founder and CEO of display.io he is responsible for growing the companies footprint in mobile advertising across 4 offices globally.
Stephen has a degree in Philosophy and was a securities trader for Bank of New York and Bank of Ireland in a previous life. A citizen of both Ireland and Israel, he is now based in NYC with his wife and daughter.
Alexis Beechen is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Drop, a wine company focused on alternative packaging. The Drop seeks to disrupt industry convention by creating wines crafted for the 21st century. Launched in 2016, The Drop distributes online and in 20 states. Alexis received her MBA from Columbia Business School in May 2015. Prior to graduate school, she spent 5 years in account management roles at various leading advertising agencies in New York City managing brands such IKEA, Volvo, Lysol, and Dos Equis Beer. When not slinging cans, Alexis loves to scuba dive and travel.
Dr. Ariel Weinberger is CEO and Co-Founder of
Autonomous Therapeutics, Inc., a startup developing the first
therapeutics that evolve along with rapidly mutating
infectious diseases to provide lifelong cures. He has led the
biotechnology company since its founding and has raised
significant non-dilutive funding to transition its core
therapeutic candidates from the academic lab into
pre-clinical animal models. Prior to founding Autonomous,
Ariel was a Principal Investigator (PI) and Wyss Fellow at
Harvard Medical School. Ariel received his Ph.D. in
Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley and is
an expert on microbial evolution and drug resistance. He is
responsible for translating the evolutionary Therapeutic
Interfering Particle (TIP) concept from HIV to novel viruses
and cancers, and has been a lead author on numerous
publications in scientific journals, including: Cell, PLoS
Computational Biology, Cell Host and Microbe, Trends in
Biotechnology, and mBio.

Rachel Taxman is a Senior Client Partner at the Wall Street Journal. Rachel has over 8 years of experience in cross-channel media sales and marketing. At The Wall Street Journal Rachel focuses developing marketing solutions for their top Tech advertisers including Samsung, Microsoft, HPE, and Lenovo. Prior to joining Wall Street Journal 3 years ago, Rachel worked as a Senior Account Executive at CBS Interactive and The Huffington Post in its start-up phase and as part of AOL Media Group. She has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding her goals through developing unique and effective marketing campaigns.
Outside of work Rachel volunteers her time helping kids with developmental disabilities, loves Pilates and exploring the best brunch spots around the world. Do not be shocked if you see Rachel in two places at once, she has an identical twin that also resides in New York.
