Lynn Baranski, Managing Director, is the Global Head of Investments for BlackRock Private Equity Partners (PEP) within BlackRock Alternative Investors. She is a member of PEP's Management Committee, Investment Committee, Valuation Committee and Investment Operating Committee.
Ms. Baranski's service with the firm dates back to 1997, including her years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. Before joining PEP in 2001, she worked for four years as a high yield portfolio manager and research analyst in the fixed income division. She joined MLIM from Bank of America Securities, Inc. (formerly NationsBank), where she was a member of the Financial Sponsor Advisory group. In this position, she advised clients on optimal capital structures for leveraged-buyouts and reviewed several private equity fund commitments on behalf of the bank.
Ms. Baranski currently serves on the advisory boards of certain funds managed by Black Diamond, Tailwind Capital Partners, 1315 Capital and Z Capital Partners. Additionally, she is on the Board of Directors of Juweel Holdings, Travel Leaders Group and Guardian Alarm and is an observer to the Board of Directors of TowerCo 2013 and Canbriam Energy Inc. She previously served on the Board of Directors of Evenflo and was an observer to the Board of Directors of TowerCo II.
Ms. Baranski earned a BA degree in history and art history from Wake Forest University and an MBA degree in finance from Vanderbilt University.
Adele Oliva has been a healthcare investor for over 20 years and focuses on commercial stage medical technology, healthcare service, and specialty therapeutic investments. Adele co-founded 1315 Capital in 2014 to establish a firm focused on healthcare growth investing and the firm has since raised two funds and has over $500 million under management. She was recruited to Quaker Partners in 2007 to expand their growth stage investing practice. Prior to Quaker, Adele was Co-Head of US Healthcare at Apax Partners, where she started in 1997.
Forbes recognized Adele on its Midas List of top 100 technology investors worldwide and top 10 life science investors. Prior to entering private equity as a Kauffman Fellow, Adele held roles at CoreStates and Baxter Healthcare. Adele received a BSc from St. Joseph’s University and an MBA from Cornell University, where she was awarded the Albert Fried Fellowship.
Adele has served on the board of Ascent Healthcare Solutions (acquired by Stryker), EKR Therapeutics (acquired by Cornerstone Therapeutics), ESP Pharma (acquired by Protein Design Labs), Esprit Pharma (acquired by Allergan), Genoptix (acquired by NeoGenomics), Precision Dermatology (acquired by Valeant), Prometheus Labs (acquired by Nestle), and SkinMedica (acquired by Allergan). She currently serves on the boards of Colorescience, Greenbrook TMS, Innovative Health, Onkos Surgical, and TELA Bio.
