Dave is an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist.
He is Co-Founder & Managing Director of Offline Ventures, a venture fund and studio focused on the inventing and investing in humanist technology, serving founder potential, and building beautiful companies.
He is Co-Founder & Chairman of Sunrise, a foundation whose mission is to cure depression, reduce suffering, and understand the brain. Focused on bringing together science, technology, medicine, spirituality, philosophy, and design to revolutionize how humanity experiences all forms of depression.
He serves as Co-Owner and Board Member of Dwell, the award-winning, category-defining digital media and magazine company serving the global community of architecture and design. He also serves as a Board Member of the Esalen Institute, the leading center for exploring and realizing human potential through experience, education, and research.
He served on the board of Eventbrite through IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, the United States Ski Team through two Olympic Games, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art through the three-year, $300M Snohetta expansion.
Previously, he was Founder & Partner at Slow Ventures, a leading Silicon Valley venture fund that champions long term thinking and innovation. Slow serves a community of over 300 of the most innovative startups in the world managing $450M~ in capital. Including Slack, Pinterest, Robinhood, Dwell, Evernote, NextDoor, Blue Bottle, Allbirds, PillPack, OpenDoor, Brightside and more.
He was the Co-Founder & CEO of Path which was acquired by Kakao in 2015. He cofounded Path with the mission of being a source of happiness, meaning, and connection through simplicity, quality, and privacy in social networking technology and design.
Dave has had a lifelong passion for technology, entrepreneurship, culture, design, photography, nature, skiing, and improving society. He served both Apple and Facebook for several years during periods of rapid innovation and growth. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
He grew up under the big sky of Montana where he was ranked as one of the top downhill ski racers in America. Today, he lives and works in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Brit, sons Ansel & Austin, and dog Pixel.

Joshua Soloway is a corporate transactional partner who provides clients with a
multifaceted perspective, drawing on his experience and expertise as an
entrepreneur, investment banker, and corporate finance attorney. His practice
focuses on advising middle-market, growth stage, and multinational companies and
investors across a wide range of industries, including banking, blockchain, energy,
infrastructure, industrial, impact investing, media & entertainment, and technology.
Over the years, Joshua has counseled clients on a broad range of matters including
mergers and acquisitions; angel, venture capital, and private equity investments; investment and fundraising strategies; cross-border transactions; public and private equity security financings; blockchain, cryptocurrency and ICOs; project finance, energy, and infrastructure projects; secured and unsecured debt transactions; institutional private placements; public listings and initial public offerings; international fund structures; international tax; technology law; intellectual property; corporate governance, and commercial law.
Earlier in his career, Joshua founded a boutique Wall Street law firm that represented international investors and issuers on US capital markets activities. As Co-Founder and CEO of Ameritus Capital Group, he led the firm's banking and financial advisory businesses, specializing in institutional private placements. Joshua was previously Managing Director of Rainmaker Global, an international consulting firm focused on market expansion and accelerated growth strategies. With over 15 offices around the globe, Joshua launched the firm's New York office and led it to become the firm’s most profitable office globally, accounting for over 50% of annual worldwide revenues.
Joshua began his legal career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC), where he advised institutional asset managers, financial institutions, and strategic investors on international tax, fund structuring, and investment transactions, as well as regulatory and compliance matters.
Prior to joining Barton, Joshua was a partner at the international, middle-market law firm, CKR Law, where he led the venture capital and emerging growth company practice group.
In addition to his professional activities, Joshua serves on the board of Child Rescue Association and was appointed Special Counsel to the Vatican’s Impact Accelerator, The Laudato Si Challenge and is a founding member of Forbes Impact. Joshua co-hosts the top-rated Innovation & Leadership, Funding Lab, and Impact Dealmaker podcasts. He is also a frequent speaker on international business, startup and venture finance, energy, and impact investing.
