Adi Chugh is a Managing Partner and Founder of Maverick. He brings significant experience from working on Wall Street across various sectors and across the balance sheet.
Adi founded Maverick at the end of 2007 as he identified an opportunity in the distressed real estate space. He created a significant plethora of relationships across the lending world, all the way from top private equity firms to large institutional investors. He has leveraged his network to deliver bespoke solutions to his clients.
Adi began his career as an Investment Banker with Wachovia Securities in their Leverage Finance Group. He then moved onto the Equity Capital Markets Group in New York. Adi placed approximately $16 billion of debt in his time at Wachovia. Adi has had the opportunity of working on some marquis transactions such as the Oracle & Peoplesoft acquisition (a $9.5 bn transaction), Adolph Coor’s acquisition of Molson, Inc. (a $1.3 bn acquisition) and has worked with marquis names in the retail, media & telecom and energy sectors.
From there, Adi moved onto becoming a Vice President and Head of the West Coast (North America) for Kotak Mahindra (One of the largest Indian Investment Bank). In his role at Kotak, Adi was primarily involved in raising assets from U.S. investors for investing into India while developing a platform for investors and firms looking to enter India in strategic partnerships.
Adi then worked for Merrill Lynch in New York on the new India platform where he was an India specialist, sourcing investment banking deals for cross border transactions between India and the U.S. and also raising assets for investments into India.
Adi is a native of New Delhi and completed his degrees in International Business & Management and Economics from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.

Mr. Khurana is a real estate professional with 14 years of investment and development experience in New York, Delhi and Bangalore, India. Mr. Khurana is currently developing a 32,000 SF luxury residential project in the Nolita sub-market of Manhattan, designed by Pritzker award-winning master architect, Tadao Ando and a 172,000 SF luxury residential project, designed by Pritzker award-winning master architect, Alvaro Siza.
Previously, he was a Principal at Maverick Partners, his family’s real estate firm with offices in New York and Delhi, India. The firm has been focused on investments in and developments of residential and office properties. At Maverick, he directed the acquisition, asset management, and disposition of properties in Delhi and Bangalore. Additionally, he was responsible for structuring and managing partnerships with local developers and operators for major mixed-use and luxury residential projects.
Mr. Khurana serves on the Board of Directors of the Storefront of Art and Architecture and the Municipal Art Society of New York.
Mr. Khurana graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Real Estate Development degree. He also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tufts University.

Charlie focuses on acquisitions, operations and strategy at Delshah Capital. Charlie previously founded Reonomy, the most advanced commercial real estate data and analytics product on the market, now bringing unique research capabilities to Delshah. Charlie led and grew Reonomy through 4 rounds of funding, partnering with investors including Bain Capital and Softbank, and remains an active member of Reonomy’s board of directors. Charlie received a double BS from the University of Miami.

Daniel Fromm works with Jordan Roeschlaub in the New York Debt and Structured Finance Group. Mr. Fromm specializes in structuring and raising capital across all asset classes. He has developed extensive relationships with a variety of capital sources including life insurance companies, domestic and off-shore commercial banking institutions, agencies, pension funds, investment banking institutions, real estate funds and foreign investors.
Mr. Fromm has been recognized as:
- Newmark Grubb Knight Frank's Rising Star (2015), which recognizes the top broker with less than 7 years in the brokerage industry

Before joining NGKF Capital Markets, Mr. Fromm was a director at a real estate investment bank, where he focused on asset and portfolio financings. He previously worked as an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he worked on complex assignments including mortgage-backed securities matters. He also advised real estate private equity funds, hedge funds and institutional owners on joint ventures, restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions and financings.
Mr. Fromm is active with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Mr. Fromm holds a law degree from New York Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Queens College

Dan Oelsner oversees and manages the acquisition, development and business development for IGI USA.
Mr. Oelsner’s experience with El-Ad Properties NY, participating in the development of complex deals such as Plaza Las Vegas, One Madison, The Plaza NY and the retail portion of the Hotel - Shops at The Plaza, has made him a valuable member of the IGI- USA.
Prior to joining IGI-USA, Mr. Oelsner worked at Stonehenge Management in New York as part of the asset management team and managed approximately 600 residential units and 100K sq. ft. of commercial space.
Mr. Oelsner holds an LL.B from the Netanya Academic Collage and MS.c in Real Estate Development from Columbia University in New York.

Glenn Brill is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in New York. Mr. Brill is a member of the Real Estate Solutions group. He is an experienced real estate professional with strong expertise in real estate finance, business planning and transaction management, and development for office, retail, multifamily and mixed-use development.
He is skilled in a diverse range of real estate and program management disciplines including stakeholder and client relations, market and financial analysis, appraisal review and valuation, project management oversight and strategic planning for retail, corporate real estate and mixed-use development. His experience also includes the underwriting, valuation, restructuring, and management of the sale of large-scale debt portfolios including performing and non-performing commercial real estate senior and mezzanine loans.
Mr. Brill has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. His experience includes working as market and financial advisor to investors and developers on large mixed-use retail development projects in the U.S, Spain, Germany, Middle East, East Asia, and Central America. This experience includes underwriting structured finance including debt and equity participation.
Mr. Brill authors expert consulting reports and provides testimony on real estate matters including damages, finance, and business operations and has been qualified as a real estate expert in U.S Federal District Court, U.S Bankruptcy Court (Delaware) and New York State Supreme Court.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he was a private real estate consultant providing financial advisory & asset services to clients including valuation, capital planning and restructuring, due diligence, investment and risk management strategies for non-performing assets, as well as strategic planning, market and financial feasibility analysis and program review.
Mr. Brill was previously a transaction and asset Advisor at Cherokee Investment Partners, LLC, an institutional private equity manager dedicated to brownfield remediation and mixed use redevelopment, a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young Real Estate Advisory Services, and a Senior Consultant with Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Services.
Mr. Brill holds a B.S. from the State University of New York, College at New Paltz. He is a licensed real estate broker in The State of New York and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the New York University Schack Real Estate Institute.

Kent Swig is a President of Swig Equities, LLC, an investment and development company dealing with the purchase and development of real estate in New York City and California. Since 2001, Swig Equities has purchased and/or is in the process of developing more than $3 billion of properties, including holdings in Downtown Manhattan’s Financial District (FiDi). This neighborhood comprises the following office buildings: 110 William Street; 80 Broad Street; 90 Broad Street; 44 Wall Street; 48 Wall Street; 5 Hanover Square; 770 Lexington Avenue among others. Swig Equities residential investments include The Sheffield, 322 West 57th Street, a 58-story mixed-use building consisting of 582 residential units, 109,000 square feet of commercial office, 8,840 square feet of retail, and a 372-car parking garage; 58 apartments within the 198 unit residential building located at 401 East 89th Street and others.





Mr. Neibart is a Partner in the Ares Real Estate Group and Chairman of Global Real Estate, focused on fundraising and U.S. opportunistic investing. Mr. Neibart serves on the Ares Real Estate Group’s U.S. Development and Redevelopment Fund II Investment Committee. He is a Director on various boards relating to Ares' investment portfolio. Mr. Neibart joined Ares Management LLC in July 2013 from AREA Property Partners, where he was a Global CEO from 1993 to 2013. From 1979 to 1993, Mr. Neibart was with the Robert Martin Company, a real estate development and management firm, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Neibart also serves on the Advisory Board of The Real Estate Institute of New York University. He is also a past President of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks. Mr. Neibart graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. and holds a M.B.A. from New York University.

Mark Stagg founded RYTY Construction in 1998 and to date has built over 3000 units of affordable housing. RYTY Construction is responsible for the development of over 3.2 million square feet of real estate construction in the Northeast Bronx, with a portfolio value exceeding $450 million in real estate development. RYTY Construction stresses high-quality, brick construction, designed to blend into the existing community architecture. Mr. Stagg’s mission is to provide practical and quality affordable housing on a timely basis, utilizing state-of-the-art building techniques and practices. Mr. Stagg has two decades of affordable housing building experience and specializes in four-story walk-up buildings.
Today, Mr. Stagg presides over a rental management company (Five Stars Management) operating 2000 occupied units (all owned and built by Mr. Stagg in the past 15 years) with plans of increasing the number of units to 5000. Mr. Stagg has made a concentrated effort to create much needed affordable housing in the Bronx.
Mr. Stagg believes that giving back to the community should be his highest priority so that is what he makes it. Whether it is funding after school programs, Christmas Toy drives, Turkey giveaways, or most recently back to school supplies giveaway. Mr. Stagg believes this community has been good to us and in return it is our responsibility to continue the improvement of neighborhoods and communities.

Michael Eglit is a Managing Director of Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies Group. Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Eglit has handled evaluation of real estate debt investments in several property types. Before joining Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Eglit worked for Wrightwood Capital, where he worked on the origination, underwriting, and asset management of structured senior debt, mezzanine debt, preferred equity and JV equity commercial real estate investments. Mr. Eglit graduated with honors in Economics from Lehigh University and received a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mr. Robert E. Deckey serves as the Managing Director and Senior Investment Officer at Invesco Real Estate. Mr. Deckey is responsible for leading Invesco Real Estates investment efforts in the greater New York Metro area. He serves as a Chief Investment Officer at George Comfort & Sons, Inc. Mr. Deckey is responsible for the acquisition of new properties. He has extensive experience in acquisitions spans 30 years at leading firms including Citigroup and J.P. Morgan, among others. He has 20 years of experience in real estate. Prior to , he spent over ten years on Wall Street where he raised over ten billion in real estate capital. He received a B.A. in Engineering and Economics from Brown University and an M.B.A from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Currently, Mr. Sumaida is developing over 314,000 SF of developments in Manhattan including 522 West 29th Street, a 110,000 SF luxury residential project, 152 Elizabeth Street, a 32,000 SF luxury residential project and 611 West 56th Street, a 172,000 SF luxury residential project. Previously, Mr. Sumaida co-developed 157 Hudson Street, a 105,000 SF luxury residential building in Tribeca, 520 West 27th Street, a 65,000 SF commercial condominium project in West Chelsea, and 145 6th Avenue, a 70,000 SF residential and commercial condominium conversion in Soho.
Combining an imaginative vision with a strong track record of executing highly-lauded development projects, Mr. Sumaida functions as a rare mix of development principal, construction manager, and trained architect. He is engaged in all aspects of the development process from conception to implementation.

Ari Davis is an associate in Tannenbaum Helpern's Real Estate, Construction and Environmental Law practice. He concentrates in enabling commercial real estate transactions, including sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, leasing and financing. Ari has counseled a diverse set of clients, from family-owned businesses and single member limited liability companies to Fortune 500 companies. He negotiates retail and office leases and subleases on behalf of landlords and tenants for spaces ranging from small offices to entire industrial buildings. Ari frequently works with developer clients that sell and purchase multifamily developments, shopping centers and office buildings throughout the U.S., and he represents lenders and borrowers in various loan structures.
Some of Ari’s work has included the following:
- representing a developer that acquired a controlling interest in a joint venture with a church, which was formed to acquire and develop the church property and multifamily units above it and
- representing a car dealership client on a construction loan that it obtained from its national franchisor
Prior to joining the firm, Ari was an associate in the Real Estate, Development and Land Use Group of Chiesa, Shahinian and Giantomasi PC (formerly known as Wolff & Samson PC), one of the largest and most respected New Jersey law firms.
Outside of work, Ari enjoys spending quality time with his family and is an ever-suffering Cleveland sports fan.

Jeffrey Berman is a Vice President at Berman Enterprises LP – one of the largest private real estate development and management companies in the Washington, DC area - and a General Partner and Director of Camber Creek, a venture fund investing in enterprise technology companies serving the real estate industry. Jeffrey is based in NYC and manages a number of Berman Enterprises projects as well as Camber Creek’s New York office where he sources deal flow and coordinates customer acquisition, retention and marketing strategies for Camber Creek’s portfolio companies. Jeffrey brings close to two decades of executive experience in the real estate industry and has served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of numerous companies, in addition to coordinating investments in same. Jeffrey graduated with a BA (with distinction) from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

John G. Balboni is a partner in S&W's Boston-based Real Estate and Corporate Practice Groups. Mr. Balboni is a member of the firm's Management Committee and heads the firm's Real Estate Group, focusing on debt and equity transactions. His practice in real estate and finance law includes private/preferred equity investing, structured real estate transactions, syndicated real estate projects, real estate crowdfunding, lending matters and fund formation. His clients include hedge funds, insurance companies, family offices, developers, investment banks, local, national and international banks, REITs and other institutional investors.
