Craig M. Deitelzweig joined Merchants’ National Properties, Inc. and its management and development arm, Marx Realty & Improvement Co., Inc. in August of 2017 as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Deitelzweig brings over 20 years of diverse real estate experience to Marx Realty. He joins Marx Realty from Building and Land Technologies, where he served as a Managing Director and head of Asset Management overseeing a diverse portfolio of office, multifamily and hotel assets across the United States. Prior to joining BLT, Mr. Deitelzweig oversaw the office division of Rockrose Development Corp., and previously led the leasing and asset management activities of the Ruben Company’s 4,000,000 square feet of retail and office space in New York, Washington, DC, and Boston. Mr. Deitelzweig is also an attorney having worked in the real estate group at Skadden Arps.
Mr. Deitelzweig graduated cum laude from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and received his law degree from Fordham Law School.
Elie Rieder is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Castle Lanterra Properties. An active real estate investor, owner and manager since 1998, Mr. Rieder has been directly involved in acquiring in excess of 15,000 multifamily units and has invested across the real estate spectrum including in residential, office, hospitality, retail and parking. Mr. Rieder specializes in value-add acquisitions, where property performance can be enhanced through multiple operational and capital improvements. His investments have shown a strong history of success in improving both the quality of life for the tenants and the cash flow to the owner through upgrades to unit quality, community amenities, and property aesthetics. He has also successfully employed strategies to turn around underperforming properties, including overhauling management, reconfiguring under-utilized space, reducing operational costs, enhancing property security, and repositioning assets within their markets. In addition to his activities with the Castle Lanterra companies, Mr. Rieder is an equity partner in a substantial number of units owned and managed by Fieldstone Properties, an active New Jersey investor, owner, and operator of multifamily communities in the eastern U.S. He is also the manager of several insurance funds with over $400 million of assets under management, and has invested in multiple high-yielding real estate investments through this vehicle. Mr. Rieder was named to Real Estate Forum's "50 Under 40" list in 2017, was awarded Manager of the Year in 2017 for Performance, Innovation, and Strategy by Real Estate Finance & Investment, and won transaction of the year (over $100 million) in 2015 from Real Estate Finance & Investment for its acquisition of Watergate Pointe in Annapolis, MD. In his personal life, Mr. Rieder is committed to community service, volunteering his time and energy to numerous charitable organizations and community associations focused on providing food, shelter and education for underprivileged families, both locally and abroad.
Prior to merging with HSP Real Estate Group, LLC, Ira Z. Fishman was the Chief Executive Officer of EVO Real Estate Group, which had been previously known as Winoker Realty Company. At EVO He was focused on maintaining and enhancing the company's relationships with its clients, forging new business development with owners, investors and equity sources, and is actively pursuing investment opportunities with various partners.
Mr. Fishman has been involved in the New York Metropolitan commercial real estate market for over 44 years. The depth of his experience includes asset management, commercial leasing, building ownership and development. His own real estate portfolio encompasses approximately 20 commercial and multifamily properties in New York City. As an owner, he specializes in the renovating and updating of neglected buildings to prime office properties.
Mr. Fishman spent ten years at Winoker Realty Co. as Executive Vice President and Principal. He helped to greatly enhance the overall operations and growth of the firm and was responsible for the expansion and development of Winoker's leasing and management divisions.
At the beginning of his career, Mr. Fishman learned the real estate business from the ground up at Newmark & Co. During his 26-year tenure, he was eventually named a partner of the firm. He acted as leasing/managing agent for nine commercial buildings with over 3,500,000 square feet of rentable space and oversaw a team of five associates. Mr. Fishman was also involved in the acquisition of many loft buildings and oversaw the redevelopment of these properties.
Mr. Fishman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers College. He is Chairman of the Real Estate Board of New York's Midtown South Office Committee, sits on the Board of Directors of the Garment Center Alliance (BID) and is in his third term on the Board of Directors of the Commercial Brokerage Division of the Real Estate Board of New York. He is also a former secretary of the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association of New York and a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Boys Town New York.
Joel Bergstein is President of Lincoln Equities Group (LEG) and has been with the organization for the past 27 years. He joined LEG as VP of leasing. Bergstein rose through the ranks of LEG to become Executive VP in 1998, spearheading the company’s acquisition and development initiatives. He led the company into its current operating partner platform, partnering with domestic and international opportunity, private equity and pension funds. In 2007, he assumed the role of President. Most recently, he was instrumental in the firm’s expansion into the German residential real estate market and is spearheading the $1.5 billion Hallets Point waterfront development project in NYC. Joel serves on numerous real estate advisory boards and is a speaker and frequent commentator in the real estate trade and business media.
Scott is the Founding Principal of Socius Development Group. Since 1996, he has directed the development of more than 2 million square feet of luxury residential rental, condominium and hospitality projects in New York and Miami.
In 2009, Scott was recognized as one of New York City’s “Developers on the Rise” by Real Estate New York Magazine.
Scott founded Socius Development Group in 2013. Socius is focused on value-add development and re-development opportunities across multiple asset classes, primarily in the New York Metropolitan area. Scott's vast experience in developing luxury hi-rise projects includes collaborations with world class architects, engineers and designers. Scott's 22 year track record of successful development projects in the most competitive markets in the world is a testament his design vision and collaborative style.
Spencer Garfield is a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group LLC in the Credit and Real Estate business. Mr. Garfield is responsible for real estate debt originations and acquisitions, equity investing and forming strategic relationships with real estate related companies.
Prior to joining Fortress, Mr. Garfield spent 12 years with Hudson Realty Capital LLC as a Managing Director responsible for loan originations, equity investments, business development and building and maintaining real estate industry relations.
Mr. Garfield received his B.S. from the University of Colorado, his Masters Degree in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University and was an adjunct professor at NYU in the Masters in Real Estate Program for three years. Mr. Garfield has received extensive recognition for his contributions to the commercial real estate and finance community.

Previously, Elliot spent 20+ years as an executive in a marketing, business development, consultant and principal role for leading international commercial real estate firms. 30+ years career as a product, graphic and marketing designer — working on enterprise marketing, re-branding, creative solutions — providing growth strategies and market penetration
Mr. Baum has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he was an Industrial Designers Society of America’s National Merit Scholar. He also studied art and design at Pratt University and holds a Real Estate Salesperson License.
