Please join YJP and Rebecca Blum, Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Rent The Runway on January 5th at 5pm ET. We will discuss remote retail and the new digital ways consumers are shopping by accessing an unlimited closet in the cloud. Through this mentorship initiative, young professionals will have the opportunity to explore how Rent The Runway is using technology, data and design to disrupt the future of the fashion industry. As the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, Rebecca leads recruiting for Rent the Runway - a high-growth startup that is disrupting the fashion industry and changing the way women get dressed. With 15 years of experience in digital startups across industries, she has a passion for building and being part of innovative teams. As head of recruiting, she is responsible for hiring top talent across every area of the business - from corporate (marketing, finance, fashion, engineering, product, analytics, HR) to operations and customer experience. Prior to transitioning into the HR / Talent world, Rebecca focused on business development, sales and marketing. Previously in her role as Director of Business Development at RTR, she led strategic partnership and sponsorship efforts. Prior to joining RTR, Rebecca led Sales Development at DailyCandy, a digital platform owned by NBCUniversal.
Laura Ellenhorn is a principal in the Managing Partner’s Office, where she leads the firm’s philanthropic strategy and community engagement efforts to make a positive and meaningful impact in the lives of Edward Jones clients, associates and communities across North America. She also leads and stewards the Edward Jones Charitable Foundation which, for nearly 30 years, has provided financial resources and support to help strengthen our communities and benefit society.
Laura joined the firm in 1997 and applies her more than 22 years of Legal experience, leadership and extensive community and philanthropic experience to help amplify and sustain the firm’s culture of caring so individuals can thrive. She was named an Edward Jones principal in 2008.
Laura is active in several organizations and serves as a director on the boards of The Gateway Arch Park Foundation, United Way of Greater St. Louis and Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis, where she chairs Variety Women.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington and her juris doctorate and master’s in international studies from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a member of the Missouri Bar and was a licensed solicitor and member of the Law Society of England and Wales. She is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School’s Securities Industry Institute.
Neil is a Senior Strategy Advisor at Brio Benefit Consulting.
He specializes in the mid-size market and has clients in across industry ranging from fashion/retail to tech to finance to non-profits and more.
