Founder and Senior Managing Principal, Rubenstein Partners
David is responsible for developing and implementing the Firm’s overall strategic initiatives and plays a particularly active role in the Firm’s investment activities chairing the Firm’s Investment Committee. David joined The Rubenstein Company (“TRC”) in 1991 as Director of Acquisitions and subsequently became President in 1997, and then CEO in 2001.
The successor to TRC is Rubenstein Partners (“RP”), a registered investment adviser primarily focused on representing its clients in investment activities in the commercial real estate office sector in the United States. RP is headquartered in Philadelphia with satellite offices in several locations in the U.S. On behalf of its clients, RP currently has over $1 billion of AUM which includes approximately ten million square feet of office buildings in the United States. In addition to investment activities, RP uses its fully vertically integrated infrastructure to implement complex value add business plans with respect to the office assets owned by its clients. This expertise, along with its widely regarded analytical acumen have kept RP at the forefront of the office investment industry.
Prior to joining TRC, David began his career as an acquisition specialist for JMB Realty Corporation in Chicago where he valued real estate investments nationwide. This was followed by an internship at Morgan Stanley in their M&A department while at business school. He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
David is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), the Samuel Zell and Robert Lurie Real Estate Center at The Wharton School, the Trinity Board of Advisors at Duke University, Young Presidents Organization – Gold (YPO), the Johns Hopkins Medicine Board of Trustees and is an Emeritus Trustee of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He resides in Haverford, Pennsylvania with his wife, Michele, and their three children.

David C. Drewes is a partner and Co-Chair of the Real Estate Department.
Mr. Drewes focuses on all types of real estate transactions, including
complex acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, restructurings,
development transactions, REIT matters, ground and space leases, and
construction agreements. He represents a broad variety of clients, including
private developers, private equity and hedge funds, public real estate
companies, lenders, preferred equity investors and other real estate
investors in transactions involving all real estate asset classes, ranging from
hospitality to senior housing, office buildings to residential/multifamily
projects, and the acquisition, development and repositioning of retail assets.
Chambers USA (2020) ranks Mr. Drewes among the leading individuals
practicing in the area of Real Estate. In 2015, Mr. Drewes was named a
Law360 "MVP" in Real Estate. He was also named one of Law360's "Rising
Stars" in Real Estate in both 2015 and 2014. Mr. Drewes is also recognized
in the 2012 edition of The Legal 500 United States.

EDUCATION
Mr. Drewes received a JD from Columbia University in 2001, where he was
a Stone Scholar and a notes editor of the Columbia Law Review, and a BA
(cum laude) in Political Science and History from Yale University in 1998.

PRACTICE
Thomas J. Henry is a partner and Co-Chair of the firm's Real Estate
Department and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Henry
has been the lead lawyer on some of the country's largest and most highprofile commercial real estate transactions in recent years. Mr. Henry has
experience in representing domestic and foreign real estate companies,
funds, and institutional lenders and investors in acquisitions and
dispositions, financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and leasing and
development transactions, both in the United States and internationally
involving all primary real estate sectors. On behalf of these clients, he
regularly negotiates related REIT and securitized financing agreements,
construction, mortgage and mezzanine loan agreements, partnership and
limited liability company agreements, property management agreements,
construction and development agreements, contracts of sale and complex
commercial leases.
Chambers USA (2020) ranks Mr. Henry among the leading individuals
practicing in the area of Real Estate. He is also recognized nationally as a
leading practitioner in Legal 500 (2020), which highlights that Mr. Henry "is
in a class of his own" and "should be considered one of the best if not the
best real estate attorney in the country," further underscoring that "he has a
combination of legal precision and a business acumen that is difficult to
match." Additionally, Mr. Henry was profiled as a Law360 MVP in 2014,
