Ajay Yadav is the Founder and CEO of Roomi, a service that is creating the world’s most trusted community for shared living. Ajay, a Forbes 30-Under-30, founded Roomi in 2013 after moving from India to the US, and witnessing first-hand that many people like himself couldn’t afford to live alone in big cities but the process of finding the right roommate was broken. He decided to devote all his energy to ensuring more truly amazing joint-living experiences.
Ajay is especially passionate about building more trust into the sharing economy and blockchain for good. He also served as a Lean Startup Machine mentor, advising early-stage startups during crucial growth points and continues to act as mentor to some. Before Roomi, Ajay studied computer science at NYIT and launched two other businesses.
When he isn’t dreaming up new ways to improve Roomi, you can find Ajay exploring New York City or with his nose in a book — anything to do with startups and spirituality rank high on his list.
