Alex Cavalieri is a Vice President at BlackRock and is responsible for co-leading digital growth marketing, which includes campaign strategy, agile marketing, SEO, Syndication and partnerships. Prior to joining digital, Alex was in the Retirement Marketing division of BlackRock. He was charged with the strategy, development and management of the retirement center digital experience. Prior to joining retirement marketing, Alex led the development and management of BlackRock’s campus recruiting digital experience. Prior to BlackRock, Alex worked at Glocal, Omni Corporation, and Workbridge Associates in various strategy, marketing, and sales roles. Alex graduated from Syracuse University with a major in Communications & Rhetorical Studies.
Alicia is a marketing maven with experience in Integrated Marketing, Digital Media, Ecommerce, and
Brand Partnerships at Fortune 100 and start-up companies. She is currently the Director of Digital
Marketing and Ecommerce for Lancôme at L’Oréal, managing Lancome.com USA including product
launches, merchandising, content creation, website and mobile development, and digital media
campaigns. Prior to this position, Alicia was the Ecommerce Manager for the Kerastase and Shu Uemura
Art of Hair brands at L’Oréal, growing two direct-to- consumer brands by +20%. Alicia was recognized as
finalist in the L'Oreal Beauty Shaker innovation competition, and was recently selected by Curiosity Lab
and The DoGoodr as a "Patron of Progress" for her work as a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
In her previous roles, Alicia worked with bestselling authors Deepak Chopra, James Franco and more
producing original content for Kindle while at Amazon. She also created digital advertising strategies for
Fortune 500 companies while at Microsoft. Alicia's work in beauty and technology has made her a
recognizable brand, being featured at New York Fashion Week, Advertising Week and Internet Week.
She is also passionate about community involvement through mentoring first-generation college
students with America Needs You, and living a healthy lifestyle as active member of Harlem Run, and
completing her third triathlon.
Eric Higgins is an interdisciplinary mathematician and technologist with a current focus on the application of machine learning in commercial analytics. He recently joined PepsiCo to lead their eCommerce analytics efforts and previously worked at Amazon, where he led teams in the advancement of pricing and retail operations. Outside of work, Eric enjoys dancing, teaching kids about science, and spending time with his Greenwing Macaw and two Newfoundlands.
Evan Woods is the Head of Digital Marketing & Planning at Walmart eCommerce & Jet.com. Prior to joining Jet, Evan ran Digital Marketing at HelloFresh, helping drive customer acquisition and lead digital marketing for the meal-kit delivery company. He also held Marketing roles at Twitter and LinkedIn, more recently helping build and lead a 15+ employee function at Twitter. Evan also provides marketing consulting to multiple non-profit organizations, including a youth education project with Rutgers University.
John Frankel is the founding partner of ff Venture Capital. He founded the firm in 2008 and has been a seed- and early-stage investor since late 1999. John focuses on advising and growing technology and technology-enabled companies across emerging industries, including artificial intelligence, cyber security, drones, enterprise software, crowdfunding, and data analytics, among others. He has served on the boards of more than 35 companies and has led investments in more than 80 companies, including Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD), Indiegogo, Ionic Security, Unikey, Skycatch, Plated, 500px, Distil Networks, Pebblepost, and Owlet. John also sits on The NYU Tandon School of Engineering's Board of Overseers.
Prior to founding ffVC, John worked at Goldman Sachs for 21 years in a variety of roles that involved technology development, reengineering and capital markets. At Goldman Sachs, he worked closely with some of the world’s leading hedge fund managers and developed a keen understanding of emerging technologies and portfolio risk/return management.
John started his business career in London with Arthur Andersen having earned a Master of Arts from New College, Oxford, where he studied Mathematics, Philosophy and Logic. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Jon Chang is the Digital Marketing Director at Kickstarter and Adjunct Faculty of Web Analytics at New York University. He's gained his experience while marketing at high growth companies such as Stack Overflow, General Assembly, and MakerBot Industries. Additionally, he teaches and mentors at programs including Techstars, Chobani, and Explo at Yale.
Joshua B. Siegel is the General Partner of Rubicon Venture Capital, a VC fund combined with value added LPs, investing in Later Stage Seed and Series A & B venture capital financing rounds of high potential early stage disruptive technology companies. We operate as a venture capital fund as well as provide a sidecar mechanism for our LPs to invest, on a deal by deal basis, into each startup. Our focus is on FinTech, Adteh, Mobile, Big Data, IoT, Enterprise Saas, B2B, B2C, Hospitality Tech and the like. Rubicon does not invest in Edtech, Healthcare, Pharma, Bio, energy or other capital intensive businesses.
As General Partner - New York, I oversee the day to day activities and operations from evaluating early stage technology companies seeking funding to assisting current portfolio companies with development and interaction with LPs as well as attracting LP capital and development of our network. Joshua was formerly the Director of Market Intelligence at Citicorp Debt Capital Markets, Manager Eastern European Banking Systems at Citibank and was with the Overseas Private Investment Corp (OPIC). In 2002, Joshua established a successful real-estate business – focusing on Historic Real Estate development. In 2007 he became an active angel investor and board advisor in New York with interests in tech, real estate, digital media, consumer products, and luxury lifestyle brands. Joshua holds a BA degree from Boston University, a MBA from Georgetown University and a Degree in Gastronomy from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. Joshua was born and raised in New York, attended Horace Mann, and still lives there with his family.
Lisa Kauffman is a Marketing executive with a history of creating and leading brands across a range of industries that stand out in the marketplace and drive profitable sales. A high impact leader, she has inspired teams with a clearly articulated vision, a passion for people, and a focus on results.
Lisa is the Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, for Perry Ellis International overseeing global branding, consumer insights, digital marketing, loyalty programs, direct marketing, and public relations across a diverse portfolio of iconic men’s and women’s apparel brands including Perry Ellis, Original Penguin and Laundry by Shelli Segal.
Most recently, Lisa held the role of CMO of Celebrity Cruises, responsible for the premium brand’s overall marketing program. While at Celebrity, Lisa’s team had numerous accomplishments including successfully repositioning the brand with the “modern luxury” platform and leading the brand’s transition to a Digital-first orientation.
Prior to joining Celebrity Cruises, Lisa was the senior vice president of marketing at Macy’s Florida, formerly Burdines, where she led a team responsible for marketing, advertising, sales promotion, public relations, special events, loyalty programs, and direct marketing. She was credited with several innovative marketing and sales strategies to support product launches, promotions, customer loyalty programs, store openings and brand enhancement. Before Macy’s Florida, she served in several progressive roles with The Walt Disney Company, ranging from being part of the aggressive growth of The Disney Store concept to marketing the Disney properties throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Lisa is a sought out speaker at industry conferences including The Marketing Forum and the New York Ad Club. A native of Miami, Lisa actively participates in the community currently serving as co-chair of the advisory board member for The Commonwealth Institute. Additionally, Lisa serves on the Public Dimension committee of History Miami and has previously served on marketing task forces for the United Way of Miami-Dade as well as Sylvester Cancer Center. Lisa, and her husband Ron, live in Miami Beach with their three sons.
Mark Wachen is the Managing Partner of Upstage Ventures, a firm that advises and invests in consumer internet and interactive marketing companies. Their current investments include SeatGeek, YouNow, TVision Insights, Vengo, STELLAService, Bedly, Rally, and CardSnacks. Wachen is also a Managing Director of DreamIt Ventures, one of the world's leading accelerator programs. Previously, Wachen founded Optimost, the company that pioneered multivariate testing and optimization online. Wachen served as its CEO up until its acquisition by Interwoven in 2007. Prior to Optimost, Wachen was Vice President of Online Ventures for Sony Music. Wachen graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth and has an MBA from Harvard.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon Martin held various digital strategy roles at Ogilvy & Mather, a global marketing services company. In these roles he has been helping Ogilvy’s clients navigate the challenges and opportunities that spring from digital transformation. He also led Ogilvy’s global mobile marketing practice where he was responsible for integrating mobile strategy programs into the business programs for Ogilvy’s clients. He has been responsible for the launch of the global DuPont digital platform and led the retail, digital and CRM account for British Airways in North America.
Martin started his career at argonauten G2 in Germany as project manager, consultant and ultimately as managing director of their Berlin office. In his career he ran digital strategy and platform initiatives for companies like Coca-Cola, Merck, Nestle, Volkswagen, and Allianz.
His speaking engagements range from the Cannes Lions Festival, Mobile World Congress to Harvard Business School. He is a published author and winner of WPP’s Atticus Award. He has been honored to be a jury member for the Mobile category at the Cannes Lions Festival in 2013.
Martin holds a degree as “Diplom Kaufmann” (equivalent to MBA) from the Westfaelische-Wilhelms Universitaet in Muenster, Germany.
Mira Nair is currently the Director of Ecommerce Merchandising for Marc Jacobs. She currently leads the global digital buying efforts for all categories in addition to managing the merchandising, content and user experience on marcjacobs.com. Prior to this role, Mira was at Vince and had key hand in the tripling of the online business from 2012 to 2016 as the Director of Digital Merchandising there. Mira comes to New York from California where she attended the University of California, San Diego and graduated with a major in Economics and a minor in Visual Arts. She started her career in Los Angeles, working for brands like BCBG, AG Jeans and Beachmint in buying and merchandising.
Richard offers more than 25 years of experience in the advertising and marketing fields. He has a keen understanding of consumer behavior and creative marketing strategies. He is currently employed by Tourneau, the world’s largest watch store with over 30 locations across the United States. He is responsible for the marketing programs with the over 80 watch brands that Tourneau sells in addition to its own eponymous brand and Certified Pre-Owned watches. He works very closely with many credit card providers as well as managing the in-house proprietary credit card program.
Prior to joining Tourneau, Richard started his career in merchandising in the Executive Training Program at Lord and Taylor where he rose through the merchandising ranks to be Divisional Merchandise Manager of dresses. Richard took his merchant skills and utilized them towards the marketing focus he took on when he became the Advertising Director at Lord and Taylor.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Boston University and a Mini-MBA in Digital Marketing. He has been happily married for many years and his greatest pride are his two children.
Robin van Puyenbroeck joined Ethan Allen Global, Inc. (NYSE: ETH) in 2015 as Vice President, Business Development, where he is responsible for the company’s global business development, licensing, corporate alliances, and relationship management for EMEA markets. In this capacity he originates partnerships and leads ETH’s relationship with strategic partners such The Walt Disney Company and Amazon. Until recently he also assumed responsibility for the marketing & PR and consumer finance teams where his focus was to re- position and increase the company’s digital footprint.
In recognition of his expertise in facilitating global networks and partnerships, Mr. van Puyenbroeck was in 2011 appointed Under-Secretary-General of EUCLID, an international inter-governmental organization with a university charter providing quality education for diplomats and other public officials of its Participating States. He serves in this role on a pro bono basis.
From 2010 to 2015 Mr. van Puyenbroeck worked as a public affairs advisor and business consultant, counseling clients on strategic communications, political and organizational strategies as well as business transactions that required a deep appreciation of markets and geopolitical context. From 2011 to 2015 he was associated with Strategy XXI Partners, a boutique strategic communications firm, first as Partner (2011) then as Senior Advisor (2013). Leveraging his expertise in the Middle East and Central Asia he advised a wide range of organizations, from emerging market corporations to policy think tanks, on strategic reviews, corporate
accountability, investment promotion campaigns, market introductions and business development. From 2010 to 2011 he served as the inaugural Executive Director of the Global Partnerships Forum, promoting public-private partnerships, and worked on establishing the Pearl Initiative, an organization based at the American University of Sharjah, UAE, promoting corporate transparency and accountability in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Mr. van Puyenbroeck joined the Global Management Program of ING Group in 2001 where he held various positions in project management, corporate banking, business development and client services, posting him inThe Netherlands, Canada, Belgium and the US. After starting as Business Manager of ING Bank’s Global Head of the Natural Resources Sector in 2004, he moved to New York in 2006 as Vice President for Corporate Clients where he managed global banking relationships with clients in the aerospace, engineering and packaging sectors. Before joining ING Group Robin van Puyenbroeck worked as an attorney with Ernst & Young Law and was admitted to the Brussels (Belgium) bar.
In addition to his professional engagements, Robin van Puyenbroeck serves as Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the Board of Directors at the United Nations Association of New York, as judge at the annual Pace Law School ICC Moot Competition and has previously served on the New Leaders Steering Committee of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs and the Kupona Foundation Advisory Board. Mr. van Puyenbroeck holds an LL.M. in international law (Hons.) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, and a Master of Laws in constitutional and international law (Hons.) from the University of Ghent, Belgium. He studied European law (Hons.) at the Universitat de Valencia, Spain, and holds a Certificate in Global Affairs (Hons.) from New York University. A native from Belgium he speaks Flemish, English, French, Spanish and some German.
Travis joined Citi Ventures in 2016; he is responsible for sourcing and executing venture investments in companies that sit at the intersection of financial services and technology. Travis is obsessed with understanding how financial institutions will be improved, marginalized or even destroyed by new technologies, revolutionary business models, and repurposed talent.
Travis started his career as a Financial Services consultant at Accenture, before moving to a strategy role at HSBC. During graduate school he cofounded Embarkly (a marketplace connecting dog owners and sitters). After his MBA, he joined Nomura’s Leverage Finance Group where he executed debt transactions for financial sponsors and corporate clients. Most recently, Travis was an investor at FinTech Collective, a fintech-focused venture fund where he made over 20 early stage investments.
Travis received his MBA from the University of Texas and his BS in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University. In his spare time, Travis is a tortured golfer, nascent world traveler, and occasional triathlete.
Benjy grew up in South Africa, served in the Israeli army, studied law in Israel and earned his MBA in France before working on Wall Street. During his career in New York, Benjy was involved in the various aspects of corporate finance. Benjy then returned to Israel, where he worked in technology investments and was responsible for the purchase and sale of majority stakes in various publically traded technology companies. In parallel he managed a portfolio of high-tech and biotech businesses and served on the board of directors of several technology companies. He then decided that his true calling in life was to be an entrepreneur and after several failed attempts, he founded the first triple play telco in the Balkans! Some years later he founded Behalf. Backed by well known VC investors such as Sequoia, Spark, Viola and Vintage, Behalf is a C Round technology company that offers financing to small businesses in the US through simple online applications.

Mr. Baum has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he was an Industrial Designers Society of America’s National Merit Scholar. He also studied art and design at Pratt University and holds a Real Estate Salesperson License.
Ian Wishingrad is an entrepreneur and award-winning creative director specializing in branding, advertising, social media and digital development. He is the founder and creative director of BigEyedWish whose clients include telecom giant AT&T, the NJ Devils, Dos Toros, FreshPet and many other businesses and brands. In 2015 he launched Nobituary.com, an anti-smoking web-app, with Oscar-winner and “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
Prior to forming his own company, Wishingrad served as the Director of Creative Development at United Entertainment Group working on leading brands including P&G Beauty, Frito-Lay and General Mills. Before leading the creative department at UEG, Wishingrad served as the Sr. Manager of Creative Development at Vimeo. There he helped craft the Vimeo brand, established partnerships with Hollywood studios, and collaborated with the ad sales team to create custom campaigns for their advertisers. Before Vimeo, Wishingrad served as the youngest Senior Copywriter at TracyLocke. While there, he created the award-winning Wisk-it Facebook app, SoBe Skinsuit campaign, and “The Land of &” for Buffets Inc.
Wishingrad has won many accolades throughout his career including a Best in Show and Gold & Viral Promotion for the Wisk-it Facebook app. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and holds a Bachelors of Science in Television, Radio and Film. Wishingrad is a board member of the esteemed Newhouse Network.
When he is not working, Wishingrad enjoys discovering new cities, flavors and people with his wife. He currently resides in Manhattan, New York.
As the VP of Solutions and Partnerships at Innovid, Michael works with clients, partners and industry trade groups to help pioneer a new generation of video and TV marketing. He has been at Innovid since 2012, previously as part of the product team. Prior to joining Innovid, Michael managed the development of rich media creative formats and authoring tools at Mediamind (now Sizmek) and Unicast, and designed and developed a specialized IM client for Wimba (now part of education giant Blackboard). He sits on a number of IAB video working groups and the MMA Mobile Video and Programmatic working groups, and has contributed to the MRAID, VAST, VPAID and OpenRTB specs.
