Honorees
Adam Lobel is a Founding Partner of IPRG, a Leading NYC Real Estate Investment Sales Brokerage and Advisory Firm. Adam focuses on the sale of multifamily, mixed-use, townhouse conversion, and development sites in Manhattan and Brownstone Brooklyn. He is a proven dealmaker who has been involved in hundreds of transactions. Prior to working in real estate, Adam facilitated global sales and operations surrounding the Olympic Games. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Adam Neuman serves the Big Ten Conference as Chief of Staff, Strategy and Operations & Deputy General Counsel as a member of the conference's Senior Leadership Team. Mr. Neuman serves as a strategic aide to both the Big Ten Council of Presidents and Chancellors (COP/C) and the Big Ten Conference Commissioner in creating a movement of leadership in sports, academics and social responsibility throughout intercollegiate sports.
Neuman joined Big Ten Conference in January 2020 and played a strategic role in helping the conference navigate the most complex times in its 125-year history by assuming a leadership role in helping the conference navigate a global health pandemic. Neuman helped establish the Taskforce for Emerging Infectious Diseases and played a key role in the negotiations and implementation of a comprehensive COVID-19 testing program to help student-athletes, coaches and staff return to competition safely.
Alongside the General Counsel, Neuman assists and supports the Conference on a broad range of legal, financial, strategic, compliance, HR, PR and general management issues, including establishing, developing, leading, and managing the Conference’s legal department, ensuring that the Conference maintains the legal resources and expertise necessary to meet its needs, managing outside counsel, oversight of government affairs and risk management, drafting, reviewing and revising Conference policies, and developing strategies for litigation.
Neuman’s role in the Conference leadership team has been particularly noteworthy amid the remarkable additions of USC and UCLA in Conference expansion and the Conference’s recent record-breaking media rights deal with FOX, CBS and NBC. “From the first day that I met Adam, it was clear that he had a special gift,” Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren told The Athletic. “His work ethic is incredible. He’s very, very mentally tough. He’s smart. He can handle a wide range of issues to deal with. His legal background has been incredible."
Neuman inspired the conference to provide support for the whole student-athlete, leading the development of the Mental Health & Wellness Cabinet. He is one of pioneers of the Equality Coalition, establishing a conference collective dedicated to helping student-athletes constructively and collectively recognize and eliminate racism and hate in our society.
His previous legal experience was with Simpson Thacher and Bartlett LLP as a corporate associate in their capital markets division. Prior, Neuman served as the lead speechwriter for the president of Yeshiva University.
Neuman earned a joint juris doctorate and master’s degree in public administration from the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated magna cum laude from Yeshiva University with a bachelor’s degree in political science, receiving both the Phillip Lieberman Award for character and service, and an award for excellence in political science.
Neuman was recently recognized in The Athletic's inaugural College Sports 40 Under 40 featuring top young coaches, players, executives, and influencers. He is a member of the Philanthropy Committee for the Sports Lawyers Association, the Sports Law Committee for the New York City Bar Association, the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) and the Anti-Defamation League’s Glass Leadership Institute. Gregory Kalikow, Vice President, is the fourth generation in his family’s real estate business. Mr. Kalikow graduated Washington University in St. Louis in 2007, graduated Hofstra Law School in 2010, and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2011. Mr. Kalikow has been working with The Kalikow Group since 2003 on the overseeing and management of his families’ real estate holdings. Kyle Simon is the Forbes 30 Under 30 co-founder and COO of The Clear Cut. In 2013, Simon co-founded Arikymo, a fair-trade diamond mining company based in Sierra Leone. Nina's passion for the startup ecosystem and helping founders throughout their capital raise process stemmed from building pitch decks for a variety of clients including tech start-ups, non-profits, and billion-dollar investment deals for 4+ years and seeing the nuances of what made a company successful when approaching investors. Nina's previous experience ranges from working for an Israeli-based electric aviation startup and was actively involved in their successful Series A funding round to working at Deloitte in Tel Aviv on their Public Sector Strategy Consulting Team as well as the Deloitte Catalyst Team. Nina received her BA in Finance and Information Systems from the Gies College of Business at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign where she was also the President of the Illinois TAMID chapter, spearheading all initiatives to bridge economic ties with Israel. Nina now splits her time between New York and Israel and is passionate about inspiring young jewish professionals to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit and publicly speaks about effective means to bridge the US-Israeli startup ecosystems.
Noah Kaufman is Managing Director of Acquisitions at The Birch Group where he oversees both the strategy and execution of sourcing, structuring, fundraising and financing for the company’s growing portfolio of trophy assets. With more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience spanning acquisitions, underwriting, and equity raising, Noah is a driving force behind The Birch Group’s strategic expansion into target markets for both urban and suburban properties in the Tri-State area and nationally.
Prior to this position, Noah was Managing Director of Acquisitions at KPG Funds, where he sourced, underwrote, structured and closed on acquisitions of office and retail properties. He has also previously held senior positions at several real estate firms, including CLK Properties, The Zar Group and Savills, where he specialized primarily on office, retail and industrial properties in the greater New York City market. Noah received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from George Washington University and his Master’s in Real Estate Finance and Investment from NYU. He is currently a licensed salesperson in New York State.
Rebecca Greene is Co-Founder and CTO of Regal.io -- an outbound phone and sms sales solution for B2C brands. She leads the engineering, product and data teams. Prior to Regal, Rebecca was an early employee and Chief Product Officer at Handy, sold to Angi ANGI. Rebecca grew up in South Florida and received her BA from Columbia and MBA from Harvard.
Solomon Birnbaum serves as President & Co-Founder of Towerline Group (formerly Fbre Capital). He is responsible for the firm’s clients, strategy, standards, business development and execution. The firm's focus is on all commercial real estate property types at every stage (construction, bridge & permanent). Additionally, the firm has expanded its mandate to the public real estate debt markets for opportunistic investment opportunities.
Mr. Birnbaum began his career at J.P. Morgan, where he worked on two teams: the balance sheet lending arm of the Corporate and Investment Bank focused on large construction loans, and separately managed $5bn of commercial real estate repo facility exposure to REITs & private equity backed real estate debt funds.

He recently served as the President, Chief Financial Officer, and Member of the Board of BOA Acquisition Corp., a $230MM SPAC (NYSE: BOAS) leading all efforts of the IPO raise, subsequent capital raises, target identification and a successful de-SPAC with Selina for $1.2bn (NASDAQ: SLNA). During this process, he raised over $450mm between IPO proceeds, bespoke bridge loan securities, a common equity PIPE, and a $147.5mm convertible note. Prior to BOA Acquisition Corp. he was a Director and Senior Trader at Citigroup Global Markets leading the high-yield Energy and Utility trading franchise. Previously, he served as a Portfolio Manager at CQS, UK LLP, where he managed US credit hedge fund investments employing capital structure arbitrage, fundamental credit analysis, and relative value risk strategies. He also was a member of the long-only multi-asset strategic investment team with over $7bn in AUM, managing a dedicated high-yield corporate credit book. He began his career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and was named to Forbes "Top 30 under 30" as well as YJP “40 under 40”. Mr. Friedman is a member of the Detroit Country Day Alumni Council. Rom co-founded Hyro in 2018 with the goal of simplifying digital interactions for end-users by helping enterprises launch conversational AI interfaces at scale. Since then, Hyro has raised over $35 million towards bringing that vision to life, building a team of 60 people in New York, California, and Tel Aviv who serve dozens of leading health systems including Intermountain Health, Novant, Montefiore, and HSS. Before joining Hyro, Rom started his software engineering carrier at Turbonomic as one of its first engineers and grow with the company to a unicorn status. Rom moved to NYC during his time at Turbonomic and continued his M.Sc studies at Cornell.
